Lately I have been abstaining from all lust. Obviously no porn, but also not thinking about sex or girls. I have been masturbating about twice per week. The reason I'm doing this is because it's giving me all the benefits of NoFap, but I can actually do it. I tried hard mode for two years and it just wasn't for me, no lust works better for me. Anyways, recently I have been productive and energized, I just can't concentrate on anything. Whether I'm studying, reading, even watching a movie, I get bored in 5 minutes. I never had this problem before, can anyone relate or give advice? At first, I thought I was just "burnt out" from reading too much and watching too many movies, but now I realize that I really want to do those activities, but I just have no concentration.
Hey brother, I feel the same way now. I have only been doing hard mode for 10 months now but the last month or so I have not been able or even WANT to do my job at all. Concentration on it is just not there anymore. When I was PMO I was content with my work and was actually doing good at it. I have to chalk this up to the numbing we experience in life when not under constant flood of dopamine and other chemicals. Honestly this is where we have to find the actual DRIVE to do something with ourselves and want to get ahead on the path we have before us. I felt the same way too, thinking i am burn out from the same work I have been doing for eight years now. Maybe, I just realize how boring the job is now and I need to do something else to fulfill myself at this point on recovery. Focus on what will motivate you to read and what you REALLY LIKE TO DO... It will work out in the end for you when you have an actual drive (libido) as they say to go after what you want in life.
