3 days of NoFap now. I finished writing an essay yesterday. Now I don't have anything I need to do until my next courses start in September (although I should, and plan to, prepare in advance). Today I thought I deserved some relaxation, besides taking a walk, I have done nothing except watching Netflix and web surfing today, (17:14 / 5:14 pm in my time zone now). And I've felt miserable and depressed today. I feel much better when I keep myself busy with meaningful things.
Me too I will have statistics and econometrics next year. I started learning it already, whenever it is possible. Currently studying Statistics at Khan Academy. I want to know more in advance. Meanwhile I read all kinds of books, books teaching logic, philosophy, popular-science books, trhillers to relax.. For example, I would recommend Nietzsche if you were interested.
I tried reading "Thus Spoke Zarathustra", I liked the first chapter but then it got way too strange for me Which book/books by Nietzsche would you say are the best and good starting with?
I started with "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" Yea, I know your feeling. My gf laughed that it looks like Bible. But I started Nietzsche with that book. And I had good experience with it. Then I finished "Twilight of the idols". Short, and 6/10. Now I am reading "Human, All Too Human" and its quite good. And it does have normal language. I havent discovered more books yet. I recommend them all, but I would start from "Human, All too Human" Or "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" I also would recommend Aldous Huxley - "Brave New World" Good criticism of modern, "pain-free" consumption society.
