Confidence is coursing through my veins right now. After church service this morning, I was on a roll. I was talking confidently with people around. Some guys looked at me with that strange look like what has changed with me. But the best part was with this lady who normally who doesn't give me a second look after service. We talked for what looked like 30 minutes. I am truly shocked. This is incredible. I am just here wondering what is going on.

  18. The root of “addiction” is not weakness of character, an ethical lapse, but psychological trauma.- Gabor Mate

The root of addiction is deep suffering. Often we dehumanize addicts, but in fact such people are those most in need of our compassion.

Addiction cannot fill the void within or bring inner peace. Only healing our traumas, reconnecting, and deeply accepting and loving ourselves and Being can do that.

Guys, let us get to the root of our suffering or psychological trauma either by therapy, reading psychology books or whatever method. Porn and masturbation addictions are just a cluster of symptoms of something bubbling under. Either we take care of the root and prevent PMO from ever escalating again or we will just be dealing with the 'branches' and 'leaves' and PMO will be a problem for life.
