Hey guys, So recently I have posted that I would undergo a 300 push ups per day challenge and report back with the results, well right now I don't think I'm ready for such intense activity therfore I have changed the challenge to a much more reasonable one. Below I have decided to write up on what I will be doing in the space of 1 month and will be posting the thoughts ever single day. (Day to day progression diary) (1st week) Thursday - 100 push ups (x4 25 intervals) Friday - 100 push ups (x4 25 intervals + rucksack weight) Saturday - break Sunday - 125 push ups (x5 25 intervals) Monday - 125 push ups (x5 25 intervals + rucksack weight) Tuesday - break Wednesday - 130 push ups (x5 26 intervals) (2nd week) Thursday - 130 push ups (x5 26 intervals + rucksack weight) Friday - break Saturday - 135 push ups (x5 26 intervals) Sunday - 135 push ups (x5 26 intervals + rucksack weight) Monday - break Tuesday - 140 push ups (x5 28 intervals) Wednesday - 140 push ups (x5 28 intervals + rucksack weight) (3rd week) Thursday - break Friday - 145 push ups (x5 29 intervals) Saturday - 145 push ups (x5 29 intervals + rucksack weight) Sunday - break Monday - 150 push ups (x5 30 intervals) Tuesday - 150 push ups (x5 30 intervals + rucksack weight) Wednesday - break (4th week) Thursday - 155 push ups (x5 31 intervals) Friday - 155 push ups (x5 31 intervals + rucksack weight) Saturday - break Sunday - 160 push ups (x5 32 intervals) Monday - 160 push ups (x5 32 intervals + rucksack weight) Tuesday - break Wednesday - 200 push ups (x5 40 intervals)
(Week 1) Day 1 Hey guys, Day 1 is over managed to do all 100 push ups fine, completed them in under 20 mins so thats good I suppose. Very achy after as you can imagine but can't wait until tomorrow!
You may want to deload at the end of this for the sake of your nervous system. I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes. Do you have a max? The total number of push ups you can do in one set and maximum effort?
(Week 1) Day 2 Hey guys I'm just about to start the 100 push ups with rucksack weight, should take me around 30 minutes, after I will be jumping in the shower and applying for some jobs I will let you know how it goes soon... Just finished, took me around 25 minutes to complete 100 but it was harder than yesterday as I added more weight on my back day off tomorrow! Cya guys soon..
Good to hear that buddy, I had challanged myself with push ups in the past too and well... right now I'm quite fit Also, don't forget to run at least 10 mins a day, it does great improvement to your body!! Ive gotta admit that without running everyday/two I can't be as fit as I am right now
