  1. If you are free from pmo are you on time for things you weren’t on time for previously??

I have been reading on how deep PMO taffects our brains function of spatial perception , time, awareness and reality, and when in brain fog mode, I am wondering if this is behind why I’m late for things? Pun intended.

Yes it does boy. It releases dopamine almost feels like getting reward before doing anything. And surely mortal brain takes that path. Which makes the brain not want to work for anything. Lack of concentration and motivation

  3. 100% certain that it causes apathy. Like the guy above says, dopamine is involved in both pleasure and motivation. Guess what will be going when your brain finds out there's an easy route to pleasure and fulfilment, something so easy, no real life activity will seem worth the effort compared to it? Porn gets the better of people for this very simple reason. Almost nothing will compare to the easy high that is porn and life will simply become uninteresting over time. It's an absolute threat to society. Porn users become lazy and productivity will always suffer. If this continues the world needs to be very very careful, since x generations later the homo sapien will have turned into a porn zombie with 0% energy to do anything other than watching porn. It's up to the government to start realizing porn can cause dependency issues and should be treated for what it is: a drug.

  4. Good point.

Technically I think the same effect of dopamine happens when we get to a super fast WiFi zone.... ever notice how impossible it is to communicate in person when the speeds are “blazing fast”?

  5. Aye, when I abstain from PMO I feel a need to do something instead of being content with sitting there all the time. When I PMO I get not only lazy and tired but I don't really care about anything in my life, it dulles my emotions and I'm angry a lot. At my old job it affected me so bad I was late some days and I would just call in sick a lot, which at one point my gaffer said anymore and I'd be sacked.

Obviously I still have issues especially with procrastination, the difference being now is that I feel not only discontent but also sorrow when I don't do things I should be doing. Wasting my bloody life away is something I always think about now after quitting, whereas before you could sit me in front of the telly and I would be "happy".

Only thing I cared about was getting high, and as long as I had PMO I didn't need anything else, those were dark days im glad to slowly leave behind.

Indeed. If you have that good of a connection our brain won't do anything else.

For a long time, gadgets and smartphones took a lot of time from many. This is a huge load on the eyes and the brain. But now mankind has a great opportunity to introduce all the developments into artificial talent. There are all chances to make the machines, programs, etc. created by mankind, work for people. She found an interesting article on the use of artificial talent in the IT sector . Time is too dynamic. If you follow everything yourself, you can get off the bag.

  11. First off, I have read lots of your quotes and think you’re braver than me. So , much respect.

Second, anyone who still says “aye” I automatically shut up. Either a pirate or a fiesty one—- either way you better pay attention.

Last, I want to know since you quit how much better are you? Like 50% or better ? Only late half the time from before? I want to qualify how this improvement is. Any idea ?

Think of the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors you choose to focus on like skiing down a hill.

The more you do it, the more used the path is, and the easier it is overtime to ski through.

The less you do it, the less used it is, the more snow piles up, the harder it is overtime to ski through, the more you put off skiing down that path because you know it's going to be hard so you let it get harder and harder to ski there.

Whenever you indulge in escapism like PMO (especially because of the way it floods your body with dopamine) it leaves your brain with attention residue. Meaning even if you're doing something else, your mind is still distracted by PMO / dopamine / instant gratification / escapism. It becomes an easy excuse to escape any minor pain, problem, and negative experience. Until you shut yourself off from reality completely.

Whenever you indulge in PMO to escape your problems, the problem gets bigger overtime, while you get weaker overtime, so it becomes more ideal to keep avoiding it and to keep indulging in PMO. It's a downwards spiral.

Procrastination is basically waiting for a guarantee before taking action. Reality has no guarantees, but porn is guaranteed to gratify you. So if you indulge in PMO you're conditioning yourself to escape reality and to procrastinate more.

  13. I don't think I'm braver than anyone else here mate, we're all struggling here together just some more than others.

Come to the North here mate, at least where I grew up you hear all sorts of dialect. Aye means yes/yeah just so you know.

Well I'm on disability so I don't work anymore, but my procrastination has gotten slightly better but at the very least I have an awareness of it now.

  14. I think you are braver than you suggest. In one post You talked about why you were putting your face as an avatar and I think at some point you inspired me to do the same.

I love the uk, I was in Frankfurt last week and was the only one cheering when Chelsea won in pk lol. Thanks for your voice in the conversation.

  15. PMO definitely had a influenence on my procrastination but that was because I lacked drive to do things. Depression, Brain fog, and just anixety etc all didnt allow me to really function on difficult or tasks i needed to remember, Now im not saying PMO was the full reason why I did that but I had a addiction which made it even worse.

    For me most definitely.

  17. This was quite deep. It actually reminds me of RPG gamers...don't they get swallowed up completely in the fantasy realm? more so than other category games?
