The last two weeks or so I’ve been experiencing more intense withdrawal symptoms, which began as minor pelvic pressure and weak but frequent urination. That subsided after about five days, during which I visited a doctor and had a urine test done. Everything was normal. Around that time I began experiencing a dull lower back ache that would come and go, which I also mentioned to the doctor and he dismissed as nothing. The urination issues and pelvic pressure soon subsided after my visit to the doctor, but the back pain did not, and has since moved to other areas. Some days it hurts in my upper back area between my shoulder blades, other days my mid back, others it’s in my hips and my thighs, then others it’s in my gluteus and my lower back again. My neck feels tense and stiff as well. My joints are cracking more than usual especially in my hips and my knees. Has anyone else experienced anything similar during a reboot? I’d like to pass these off as withdrawals but every time I begin a new streak I’m not sure whether my symptoms are PMO related or not because they’re hardly ever consistent. I’d appreciate any feedback you have to offer.

  2. To me it sounds like a mental issue manifesting physically. I had those as well.

Cracking joints, pain in joints.. thats a stress. That energy acumulates in joints.

Its a mental reaction you are experiencing for what ever reason.

How long did those symptoms last?

  4. They are withdrawal symptoms man. I had them and I still do to a lesser extent. If you have been pmoing a lot, reboot won't be easy at all. It's your nerves connected from your back to the brain getting healed. So keep going with your reboot and don't look back.

Sounds familiar to me, also the inconsistency. If the doctors can't find anything, keep healing and maybe look into therapy/trauma healing when you're a few months clean into hardmode

Yeah that’s along the lines of what I figured. I remember having a sore back off and on during my teenage years but more recently I haven’t had any back pain. Looking back I bet I caused the infrequent back pain through PMOing, and like you say my body is now trying to repair all the negative effects of fapping over the years...

  7. Sounds almost like benzo withdrawal to me. Yes some symptoms are idendical to benzo withdrawal. Just maybe a bit less intenss. Also never heard people talking about PMO withdrawal induced psychosis. But a lot of symptoms intertwine and are absolute hell. Last night my sleep was non existent. Been 240 days of PMO free and still have flu like symptoms and things like severe anhedonia, low energy, insomnia and social anxiety. Most symptoms are gone thank God. I could not not hold a conversation without looking like a low IQ mental patient. Mind was blank and anxiety skyhigh 24/7. The more days go by the better it gets. Keep it up and stay strong. Try some mulungu for stress and insomnia.

I’ve suffered from the “low IQ syndrome” for most of my adult life. Never knew there was a correlation between that and PMO until the last year or so since I discovered NoFap. It gets worse during withdrawal for me. I share all of your symptoms minus the insomnia, but I’ve had that in the past as well...

  10. Thanks mate. 202 days ago, I fapped one time with the use of fantasy. There was no porn involved. Just real sexual fantasy. Even this gave me a setback and symptoms increased. I am 240 days without any porn. I hope to reach the one year mark. So my real counter is like this: 240 days without PMO and 202 days without MO with fantasy.

  12. Lol the weird joint cracks and noises started a few days ago for me. I also didn't know what it was. I still got zero motivation and junior is hibernating for about 20 days.

I have most of the mentioned back pain issues for at least 5 years now (but started NoFap last year). I was unathletic and also had some weird "furry feeling" on the left half of my face. Also had a x-ray photo from my neck whirl, it showed nothing. Plus neuralgia in fingers and toes. Since I started with exercising at the gym one year ago, most of the symptoms are gone, but I'm sure now that the other stuff that is still there was once indicated by PMO and/or the reboot process. It get's better and better, even with several relapses.

Well the good news is the stiffness is seeming to slowly lessen. I don’t want to speak too soon but I’ve not had as much back soreness today as I’ve had and for a shorter span today as well. I plan to start exercising again as soon as this lets up more but I’ve not been able to get out and move much due to the pain. I think not being able to work out and being forced to be immobile has only contributed to the stiffness...

Started having sex two times a month on day 160, then masturbating 2 times in january to nothing. Than masturbating to pics girls sent me probably 4 times. Then done pmo once a week ago.

The urination problem gota little better after masturbating.

Frequent urination is true for me too and I have also experienced this lower back pain for over a year now(March 2018). Did an x-ray and the doctor said I have mild arthritis in my lower back and she can't figure out why someone my age and "relative healthy state" would be experiencing these issues. I also had some neck issues like my neck being super hot and my back being stiff on and off. Sitting is difficult but I have managed to work around it. I started doing yoga and this helped to alleviate the pain somewhat but there are days when I have a burning sensation behind my calf. One day I did not stretch and my leg became numb on walking outside. We need to stop PMO and keep from making ourselves more and more sick.

  20. The frequent urination went for me around 9-11 months. I had it quite bad especially at night. It’s amazing what withdrawal can do to your body.
