Will rebooting be impossible for me due to job?

    Hello Guys,

Basically my job is related to the porn industry. I pretty much look at pornographic images/videos all day, editing them etc. I also promote various accounts on social media that relate to porn/girls.

How the hell am I supposed to reboot? As you can imagine my brain is pretty much flooded with dopamine by the end of my day and the urge to masturbate is almost uncontrollable. Everything I've read tells me to stop looking at porn, but I dont have that option.

Please note that not doing this job is not an option, its my career and allows me to not work a traditional 9-5. I love it apart from being clearly addicted to porn.

Any ideas? Am I fucked? Will simply not masturbating be enough, even if I'm viewing porn all day?

    Thank you

Dood if you manage to stop masturbating I think it would be one of the most impressive feats ever achieved by a No Fapper.

Personally I can't answer any of the questions in regards to being fucked or not, but I reckon there would definitely be some room for self improvement in quiting masturbation, it may just be different to other Fapstronauts as you will still be exposed to the P of the PMO cycle.

It seems to me your in a very bad profession. Your career choice seems unhealthy. Like how can you want to reboot by staying away from it, but think you can look at it all day for your job? You might have to be switching jobs buddy.

I want to reboot because of the effect its having on me personally but obviously I dont want to quit the job as I want the money. This isnt just a case of a couple hundred extra a month, It's a case of I will be able to retire very early if things stay the way they are, as sex sells.

I know it's kind of ironic that I make a living selling/editing porn videos and I want to quit porn but I thought I'd at least try.

I managed 4 days until it was just too unbearable, I wasnt sleeping well at night and finally caved in. Honestly I'm thinking 90 days would be impossible so guess I have to think about what I want more.

  8. Hire someone else to do it and pay them a smaller portion of the profit while you pursue something else.

If you succeed, I guess you will end up looking at life differently, and that you might not like what you do. I’m sure it will be some hard core work on your deep personal beliefs..
    Good luck!

    Dear friend
Thanks for sharing your difficult problem
The opposite of addiction is not sobriety its connection
If you can meet people share a relationship be intimate you can reboot fine
Whatever your choices of career PMO will escalate and leave you empry so a .change can be helpful
Also if you can bring a bit of humaness to all the people working around you who probably suffer as much as you than you can give meaning to your work
In the end even after retirement you will still need more dopamine so plz don't go there too quick

Stay strong we do this together

Well I guess that is up to you that I’m my opinion your putting money over your need and desire for healing.

I get it, money is nice, of course. But as mentioned, it’s not everything. You can find something else.

Also think of it this way, the more sexual material YOU put out yourself, your also tempting others and making it harder for others to quit.

What if you changed your career and you helped just one person also quit PMO because you are not putting something online that triggers them.

    Thoughts??
