I am depressed, hate the world and all that's in it. I am not getting along with my family and it seems as if everything is working against me. I feel like shit and don't know what to do, so I sit typing on nofap because you people are the only ones who seem to care.

Hate is a pretty strong word. And you are part of the world, so in hating the world you are hating yourself. In what ways in your life can you love yourself better? I assume you are on this website because you want to become a better person.

And the only way we become better people is by doing better things. Your thinking won't get you there. It is good to talk about it, however there is really nothing anybody can say that will be more effective than your actions.

So, I advise you. Take a deep breath. Think about where you are in life, and ponder the gifts that you do have. I'm sure that you have at least one thing to be grateful for. If needed, start there.

    Wishing you the best,

  4. Hi ilovetyrannosaurusrex,

Yes fapstronauts do care and support each other. But in order to care about you, you must tell us why you are depressed and why you feel like shit. Do you realize that you are already luckier than may be 80% (not sure about the exact percentage) of the world by having a family not getting along with, having access to the Internet and being able to communicate in English ? To attract good things into your life, you must believe that the world is working for you, not against you. Be grateful for what you have, not moan about what you don't have (yet).

I'd recommend reading the conquest of happiness by Bertrand Russell. http://russell-j.com/beginner/COH-TEXT.HTM

It's helped me a lot over the past few months. Whilst an intellectual giant his writing is down to earth and easily accessible. Russell succinctly identifies various varieties of unhappiness and their causes and then offers advice as to how we can maximise happiness in our lives. Whilst written in the 1930s this book is unbelievably relevant today, perhaps even more pertinent now than it was back then. He even touches on sexual dysfunction, eerily foreshadowing PMO addiction as a source of unhappiness.

I have that feeling too. Relax and do something that boosts your well-being. Go for a jog or read a novel. Try some transcendental meditation. It might help get your mind off negative feelings.
