Reboot Advice Request

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by BallsOfSteel, Feb 10, 2015.

  1. I'm just starting day 9 of nofap, no PMO. As this is my first run, I'm having some issues I hope some of you more experienced nofappers can clarify for me.

The first one is about energy levels. Is is a symptom of nofap to have extremely low levels of energy? Is there a correlation to nofap and low testosterone levels? And if so, would a T supplement help?

The second one is about desensitization. This morning, just before getting up, I started playing with Little Paul. Not like a fap, but a one-finger tease, just literally playing with the light sensation, instead of the usual choking and subsequent O. This lasted for about 2-3 minutes, then I got up and went about my business.

Does this negatively affect reboot and/or desensitization?

    Thank you in advance.
    Paul in Wisconsin, USA.

Hi Paul, as far as I know and experienced NoFap, energy levels tend to increase, so maybe you are not having enough sleep? And about desensitization, you should definitely not "play with Little Paul", not because the reboot itself, but mostly because that one-finger tease can eventually grow into a strong urge and lead to relapse. Good luck!

Also, yes, its very normal to have periods of very low energy the first 90 days. Also, I highly advise against any T suppliment. You do not need it. You will have periods of what seems like very low T. This is known here as a flatline. This is normal. Just hang in there, and fear not. Your body knows what it's doing!

  4. Sorry, you guys.
I assumed that a flatline was a sexual thing, not a total-body thing.
    I'll keep trudging on.

    Thank you.

  5. So I just looked this one up in the glossary:
This is why it didn't click, as I'm not having issues with libido, but just my energy levels are super low.

The first month is very rough. And symptoms are different for everyone. I had about 4 or 5 days, where I stayed in bed all day. But, that was from mostly weeks 3-5 for me.

Do you think there is something else wrong?
