i seriously need help on how to control urges Any advise guys and please be realstic like donot tell me to go for a walk at 2 Am.. And i just need support cause my 4 days run just ended..
i understand where you are at right now all to well, let me give you some advice, before you start rebooting again make sure your head is in a good spot, you dont want to go sailing with a hole in your boat. Make sure your convictions and your goals are clear, you have to truly want this, i like to call it the spark, the spark is when you are filled with motivation and dedication, when you are bursting with desire to quit, when you have a moment like that, i would restart your reboot, you have to start in a good place.
I don't know myself what to suggest but talking to a person who himself got out of an addiction would certainly help
you have to put away everything that makes you remember porn. I know that's hard. But for example: don't open your phone or your laptop, or open them just to play a video game in order to forget about your urge...
First you must understand how the "Urges" work, it is very simple but complicated at the same time, the first thing you should know is that they will always be present on your way to recovery I think (I have not healed yet but I had good gusts and there were always Urges ), now, that energy of Masturbarte you have to use it in something productive, because eventually you will fall back. We are human, we can not resist temptations but we can get away from them. Some Tips: -go outside (I do not think it makes you want to masturbate in the middle of the street) -Cold shower -see a movie (It's not productive but it keeps you away from bad thoughts) -To meditate -Read a book
The aspect of understanding, is a great key in succesfully doing nofap i have come to believe. When i understand that pmo has nothing of real value to offer, but actually the opposite, harming and self sabotage.. why want that in the first place.. i then feel more inclined to do nofap, because i want to get stronger and not weaker. However.. sometimes i do get urges and cravings, and sometimes have to be practical and very strong also. So i try to divert fantasy thoughts (either not paying attention, or thinking of Buddha or visualising arrows hitting a shield). And of course, working on all areas of life, getting in touch as much as possible with the body & mind.
