Last night I relapsed again and I'm having the usual palpitations, and chest pains and weakness again. I can't even focus at work. From the way I'm feeling, I think this addiction has done with me what it wants. It has succeded in giving me heart problems and now I feel closer to my grave. I don't think I can escape.
Have you considered that the chest feelings might actually be symptoms of panic attacks triggered by guilt and shame rather than a coronary disease? What situations and states of mind lead to relapsing? Can you protect yourself and avoid them or at least alter them?
I'd suggest seeing a doctor if this has been going on for longer than a week. You can't be too careful with chest pain.
i had the same pronlem a couple of years ago, i thought i was dying (shortness of breath, chest tightness, feeling tired all the time, inability to sleep...) i thought i had issues with my kidneys. turns out it was just anxiety
This may be just common panic attacks, but you should see a doctor regardless to confirm it's not something more serious. But palpitations and panic attacks are common for pmo withdrawal, at least in my case. And it's a general symptom for anxiety.
Dude I had the same problem long ago. The palpitations are result of high excitement and ejaculations. Its not good obviously but don't worry, just start a new streak and keep going. Believe me its easier said the done as I myself am struggling to maintain a streat longer than 3 months. But I am on it..
This is my 5th days no pron no musterbation no orgasm. I feel very nervous. Always feel like I must watch porn and check if get hard or not. My head is paining. it is too much scary for me. I spending time reading book watching youtube song and comedy movies. But sometimes my head starts paining. Give some tps
Relax, man. That's my first tip, and perhaps the most important one. Here are some others: Exercise Meditate or pray (you don't need to be religious to meditate. It doesn't have to be a religious thing. Just sit in a comfortable position and focus on your breathing for about fifteen minutes) Write in a journal Go for a walk Call a friend or family member just to say "hi" Practice a creative skill like music, drawing, or creative writing. Cook a nice meal for yourself Take a cold shower Any of these things will not just help you get through the urges and take your mind off your penis, but they will also make you a better person if you do them regularly. It's a really bad idea to just quit using porn and masturbating cold turkey, grit your teeth, and just try to get through the 90 days. You'll relapse very easily. You have to replace porn and masturbation with healthier activities (like the ones I listed above). Relapses happen when you feel stressed, lonely, tired, or hungry, and the above activities will help you with all of that. Drink lots of water, get 7-8 hours of sleep at night, eat a balanced diet with fruits and vegetables, and exercise. The headaches will go away if you do those things.
If you go to a doctor, they will likely diagnose you with something medical and give you meds you don't need and could hurt you. I'm not a doctor, but I have read so many threads about guys with your exact symptoms it's incredible. I had anxiety and even PTSD symptoms at one point. Quit the hard core porn and it went away. I still get anxious after MO'ing without porn, even. If I don't fap, I feel incredible. Quit porn and the anxiety will go away. Deep down you know this. You may be near or at rock bottom. Get educated and start healing yourself. yourbrainonporn.com
I have read all your comments and I love the support I'm receiving. I want you guys to know that I really love life and is willing to win this battle. I take all your bits of advice. Thanks
You don't seem to think much of doctors. Where I live, a doc would unlikely, but still more likely to mistake an early, mild heart attack for anxiety than the other way round. I get that its common, but discouraging people from seeing medical professionals seems to me to be a tricky, potentially risky advice. Thanks for that link!
Seeing a doctor and a sex therapist has never hurt anybody. There is a lot going on when you feel like this is killing you. Peer support is great, but go find some professionals to talk with.
I'm not a doctor but I don't think masturbation would lead to these health issues. Go see a doctor. My best guess is that you feel so bad and guiltu about pmo that it is giving you these symptoms.. or the symptoms are related to something else. Take it easy on yourself and def go see a doctor and talk to him about this stuff.
also could be that you have a bad cardiac condition and orgasm is dangerous towards an underlying condition. Doctors are your friend
Dude I had a panic attack and even fainted in public not too long ago thinking I was about to die (the ambulance came and everything). Turns out severe anxiety and stress can do weird things to you.
