Almost relapsed, because incognito mode still exists...

I managed to get through my first day of abstinence, just because I was busy. Since today I was free of responsibilities, I almost started fapping due to the presence of the incognito mode on Chrome from Android. As you may know, Incognito doesn't store up the history or data of your searches, making it a very easy means to "gateway" for porn. Has anyone found a good solution to this?. Are there any Android browser that doesn't have incognito, or at least, lets me block unwanted sites, that might trigger arousal?

  2. If you have someone you are open with, who you trust, you can use a monitoring app. It doesn't block but it will alert them if you are doing troubling things or go into incognito.

You will always find porn if you want to. On any browser you can delete the history. The solution is not changing software although this can prevent you from seeing triggering pictures. Try being busy and if not read about porn addiction, come to this forum (there is a panic button !)
    Stay strong.

  4. My phone doesn't have internet, it has no data...don't use a phone that has internet. Get rid of your phone if you have to. Serious, don't let a stupid little gadget get in the way of your life.

The key for change is from within...let there be any number of browsers providing you complete secrecy...it doesn't matter... it's all in your mindset...trust me... personally I have tried many blocking apps, deleting browsers and what not...but your brain will always find some way or the other to get its fix...I used to block google for 12 hours staright during the day...and when the urges came in I used to always think of how to get to google...to avoid this I blocked the app store itself from downloading other alternative browsers like firefox etc...still I managed to find a browser in my phone and do you know how? The cm security app/ clean master app which we use to clear junk and free up memory, have a browser option in built in themselves...and there before you know it I am back to my evil old ways fapping away...it was only later did I realize that control must be from within and no matter how shitty and tempting the world might be out there, its upto us to stay focused on our goals...I have deleted all the blocking apps in my phone...self discipline must be built from within ,my friend... it's tough...but it depends on how bad you want to reform yourself..wish you the very best..

In regards to self-discipline, are methods to regain that? I noticed that as I grew up, my discipline was flush out of the toliet, making very impatient, seek immediate results (couldn't even study for exams, as soon as I find hardship tend to give up), hence hindering me in many aspects of life.

Be selfish,my friend...be very selfish for your own sake...be selfish for your well being...know what's at stake... know what you are throwing away for a momentary pleasure..start listening to nofap motivation content on a daily basis...try visiting the forum atleast for half an hour...read the success stories... don't dwell too much into other threads that doesn't relate to you...you don't have to know the shitty kinky stuff people are into and the last thing you'd want is to be triggered by things people say in this forum..ask yourself of why you can't do it if that person can go for 90 days... consider it as a healthy competition..the highest form of self discipline can be achieved in fact by fighting our innate urges...once you master this, the highest form of distraction, you will see its benefits in other aspects of your life too...push yourself,my friend...you know that it's wrong and that's why you've taken the first step in reforming yourself by entering this forum... that's a success in itself...there will be times when you will be down... I'd never deny that...but as they say ," fall down seven times, stand up eight"...take each day as it come.."every second is a new record and a success in itself for a fapstronaut"

I don't think so. I would say you don't need any method. You just have to find the strength, to be motivated. Theoretically, this is easy. In practice, it's hard.

Although there is no method, you can always try stuff to become more motivated. Try to challenge yourself by counting the days without porn, doing sports, taking cold shower etc... The more busy you will be, the easier.

  9. This is 100% true, i've always said the best porn blocker is your mind. I tried some crazy stuff when i was at my worst and desperately wanting to quit. I tried gluing my monitor to my desk with industrial strength adhesive, freezing my bank card in ice, putting a timing device on my power outlets and then gluing the router plug to it and setting it to turn off at night. All of these ideas were very temporary. If you are addicted or still suffering from the compulsive behaviour, no matter what you do in terms of physical barriers you will find a way to overcome them. That's why internal strength must be nurtured and built piece by piece.

These days i only have google safe search on, just incase something pop's up unexpectedly that I don't want to see. This works for me and hasn't let me down. Keep trying, keep making progress and hold on to a vision of yourself being porn free, eventually if you are genuine in your efforts you will reap the rewards but it's not an overnight thing it will take time, patience and effort.

    Don't use
Don't use your phone. It's exceedingly bad for you. That's where I wound up during the last phase of my addiction.

Get rid of your phone and get a flip phone if you need to.

  16. I'm using the SPIN browser on android, it blocks anything porn related. It's fine so far, I haven't used it that much though. My only thing with it is it doesn't give me the weather hourly when I google it when I'm in bed and setting my air con for the night. Other than that it does its job for me, I don't really use a browser at night other than checking the weather anyway. And for daytime I'm using Appblock on android with a blue and white icon. I can block up to 5 apps during certain time periods, so I block my built-in browser and chrome during most of the day when I usually relapse and at night so I usually just use SPIN.

I never really wanted to use app blockers so I could try be self-disciplined, but if you implement things that increase the distance or effort required for you to indulge in bad habits then it increases the time you have to think about what you're doing. For my appblocker app I can lock the time limits I set, and to unlock it I either have to wait a few hours or plug in my phone charger (I'd have to go downstairs for that). There's a term or phrase for this "distance" but I can't remember what it is.

There's an app called Block Site for android which allows you to block sites as the name implies. Not sure how it works with chrome for android since I used the default browser on android.
