  1. I discovered the NoFap community 15 months ago, but initially I didn't make a big deal out of it. But it made me reflect on some things about my life.

I'm now 18 years old, and now that I think about it, I haven't had a durable and meaningful relationship with a female for over 6 years. And by relationship I don't necessarily mean a sexual or romantic one. Coincidentally, that's the same time span in which I started practising masturbation.

During this time, I've kept being successful in my studies, I've been doing sports, I made many good friends, some amazing. I don't feel like a porn addict, but I think masturbation has made me groggier, less creative, and further augmented my shyness. Overall, I think it impacts my life in a negative manner.

But what worries me the most is that I can't seem to be able to quit. I've been trying for a month now, but I never went past 4 days without it. In the past I refrained from it for longer periods of time, but not voluntarily: I simply didn't feel the urge to masturbate. Since I don't drink, smoke or use drugs because the thing I hate the most in the world is not being in control of myself, this scares the hell out of me.

I hope this is the last fap of my life.

    Hi
You sound quite clear headed. Each time we manage a streak of any length, 4 days, a week, a month or whatever we are literally forming a habit or pathway in the brain and eventually it will become the norm and we are pmo free. So all streaks of any length don't go in vain and are extremely powerful and grow the nofap ability. It's a very individual journey, you will break you limiting patterns and be amazed:).

Good luck mate and well done for working this out so young!
