Anyone had heart palpitations?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Sep 25, 2018.

  1. 12 days without O, palpitations started on friday on and off. But been solid 2 or 3 palpitations per minute over last 24 hours.. pale skin, feeling cold and 'off' anyone else had this?

Mentioned it to doctor today and she listened to it said its not right and booked me for an ECG next week and a 24 hr tape. Then I was advised to go straight to A&E but thankfully they are calming right down again now so I haven't gone. I do have an existing arrythmia but it never plays up to this extent, can it be withdrawal related? Not having cravings particularly

Definitely follow up with the doctors!

I don't have any experience with this, but perhaps it's stress? Did you feel similarly at some point during other streaks? Any changes in diet and exercise? Maybe an electrolyte imbalance?

  3. Only stress i have is the hormonal kind - bad pmt this month which has knocked me for six but it doesnt usually trigger my arrythmia. Not happened during other streaks. I'm wondering if my calcium levels have dropped, I get calcium deficient now and again and that can trigger it. But I've never had it like this before. Possibly pmt hormones + withdrawal + low calcium. Will get my calcium tested tomorrow & see if its dropped again. Hopefully it is that as that's an easy fix :)

I used to have very often when I was younger, but as I grew up, they became very rare. So rare that I don't even remember when the last time was. I think in March or April. I've had undergone stress tests twice, I reported this issue to the doctors, I had a trillion electrodes attached on my body, but the tests' results were perfect. The last stress test was last July and I started nofap in August. In conclusion, nofap hasn't caused arrythmias to start... (so far)

Yes I had this and still actually . Did you feel when it happens that you can.t breath or breath heavily? ??

  6. Hmm. I've always had irregular heartbeat had a lot of the ecg type tests which confirmed it but I've been assured it's likely not life threatening, just sort of benign mis-firing. I didn't go to my stress test because I was pregnant at the time. I was also supposed to have a heart scan but I cancelled that too because by the time I got the appointment I was having no symptoms. The last day has given me the heebie-jeebies though.. I've been panicking because sometimes its felt like it's going so all over the place that it's gonna pack in. Really unnerving!

  7. Withdrawal = stress.

Heart palpitations can be a physical manifestation of pmo withdrawal. What do they feel like, as if your heart skips a beat or a more rapid rate for a short period of time? Both can happen. I even had nosebleeds in the beginning because of the hypertension. You need to take it easy.

  8. Did yours start after quitting? No problem breathing just a bit of mild discomfort in chest area. Bit of tightness I guess.

  9. Wow, crazy isn't it! It feels like my heart stopping & starting & tripping over itself. Normal pulse rate but like a frog squelching around in my chest and giving me an ocassional hard kick, its nasty! The palpitations stopped for a bit earlier today but for some reason i went lightheaded, so i tested my pulse but it had gone so faint i couldnt feel it in my wrist. So i used my electronic thing and my pulse was over 150.. yet i didnt feel like it was pounding or racing i just felt strange. Then the palpitations came back and my pulse rate dropped back down to normal. Very odd. But seems a lot better now

I want to mention that about a week ago, for a few days, I had heartbeat feeling and sound in my right ear.

  11. Like heartbeat sound in your ear? I dont have that but they have been ringing over last couple days.

  12. That's pretty fast in a state of rest.... Definitely pmo withdrawal! Landed me in A&E as well... Do you feel anxious for no reason ? Panic attacks can cause it too. Seriously hope you don't have to go through that hell though.

No. I did say I had no experience with it!

  14. I have been having some random anxiety feelings. Not for any particular reason. Very annoying. Its difficult because I get anxiety feelings around my period anyway due to hormones, but not having O's really seems to make it feel a lot worse, I dont feel like my body is very happy with it all :/

I'm not even particularly abstaining from O, just MO. But I dont get to see partner too often as we work different hours so I end up effectively doing hard mode for stretches. Not adjusting to it overly well!

Not sure I can be bothered with A&E as I already know I have an arrythmia.. just hoping its still a benign one I guess haha

  15. That couldve just meant you never experienced it for yourself in your body but not dealt with it with others but, u did say to follow up with doctors which should've been obvious to me but you seem like you know some tings. anyways just wondering

  16. I used to work in nursing :) which is what makes me nervous because I know it's potentially a cause for concern

Open your palm with the fingers not touching each other. With the palm facing your face, place it about 5 cm from your face. Blow some air gently towards your fingers, short blows every second. This is the sound I had inside my ear...
At the moment, the noise in my ears sounds like a passenger plane turbine...

  18. How annoying! Is it tinitus? Mine are just ringing like I've been out clubbing or something

I searched the net back then and I think it's tinitus. Anyway, it was really anoying, especially when I was in silent environment, like my bedroom while trying to sleep... This whistling noise, like post clubbing, I've have it for some years because I work in extremely noisy environments. Sometimes it's louder, sometimes negligible. The airbus turbine noise is rare. Usually, I hear it when I wake up very early and yawn hard. Lasts as long as the yawning...
