Twitch, YouTube Gaming and YouTube

Discussion in 'Off-topic Discussion' started by Deleted Account, Aug 10, 2018.

  1. I just find it fascinating how many female YouTubers, and female gamers there are these days. There are literally so many of them, some even have millions of followers. What i have noticed is how a lot of guys put them on pedestals and objectify them, like they are godesses. It is very similar to paying for the services of a CAM girl model. For example on Twitch you can donate money to streamers. I have seen many guys donating huge sums of money. In fact there was a YouTube channel with a guy who was giving some girls over a $5,000 for their channels! And it is completely normal.

A lot of these girls are very attractive they look like models. And in the chatroom you can tell that there are a LOT of guys watching them stream. It is not porn but it can be highly stimulating. And i'm not just talking about the games that they are playing and streaming. I just think that it comes as no surprise that a lot of us guys struggle with porn addiction and meeting girls. We just objectify girls far too much its no wonder that we believe that they are out of our league.

I'm not saying that these gaming channels are a bad thing, they can be quite entertaining. It's just that after having such a long battle with porn addiction these type of things can feel like a substitute sometimes :p And i admit that i have looked at girl gaming channels, not just because of the content but because of how attractive the girl is. The same can be said of ASMR videos on YouTube.

  2. I don't see how gaming or a certain platform has anything to do with finding porn substitutes. Porn addiction expresses itself in the form of sexually objectifying the opposite gender, seeing them through a porn filter. That can happen anywhere on the street, at work, at the store, at the doctor, watching TV etc. Try to figure out your personal triggers and avoid them for the time being. That way you will (re)learn to appreciate a woman based on her value as a person, instead of her sexual value, and then you will also be able to think and make decisions based on your actual interests, and not based on your private parts.

As for putting women who game on a pedestal, that's still a big mystery to me. If you look at the list of eSports players for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_eSports_players 99% of female gamers are casuals. Does that make them less gamers? Of course not, but like you say, putting them on a pedestal just doesn't make any sense and has to be influenced by sexual attraction, which, like you said, is sadly abused by some female "gamers" because unfortunately sexual objectification is everywhere and seen as "normal" nowadays, thanks to porn. But based on that same logic, any person who is casually watching a movie every now and then would suddenly be seen as admirable film expert. A person who knows how to cook pasta is suddenly a master chef. That's just silly.

  3. I’m tired of this sex fueled society it’s really fucking annoying at this point.
Every girl on the planet thinks they're a goddess and every guy drools over them like a dog does over a piece of meat.

It’s freaking ridiculous. How is it considered normal to act like animals. Since I was a kid all of this shit was considered normal.

My hope is to find a girl who is actually normal and not a sex demon.

It’s literally pathetic watching guys kneel down and worshipping girls on the internet. It’s sad to watch.

  4. Some streamer girls are legitimate gamers. However a lot of them are just camgirls with their clothes on. Watching other people play is stupid in itself but watching a woman who can't even play just because she's attractive? You might as well watch porn where they pretend to do household chores.

  5. Oh yeah.. So many girls out there that have nothing to do with gaming. They just expose as much of their tits as possible, play some random game they have no idea how to play and earn cash. Cool stuff nowdays...

  6. I don't think it should come as any surprise. Men's natural attraction to women coupled with this culture of women worship causes alot of guys to act like this in any type of situation where a woman is involved, even if it doenst directly relate to sex. These guys see I centimeter of cleavage and just go the fuck off like some cuck Manchurian Candidate. I don't get worked up over this as its business as usual but $5000 for a gaming channel!? Thats pretty pathetic.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around sitting around watching someone else play games. I accidently downloaded Twitch and immediately was like what the fuck am I watching. I game occasionally and I already feel like gaming is as useless of a pass time as PMO but watching someone else game takes it to the next level.

I tried to use twitch to check out gameplay to see if I liked a game but the personalities were too fucking annoying. Watching some dumb ass gamer trying to be edgy, constantly saying "take that, Beeyatch and then annunciating the next phrase with a terrible black persons accent was waaaay too much for me. The pussy worship was also painfully overt and rampant. No thanks.

  7. I agree with you but sadly, at this point it is normal. It's painful to watch guys you respect behave this way.

I hate what is happening with twitch and anywhere else. It seems like boys never learn how to practice "sexual self defense". They lavish women with their money and their time, with little return and no greater benefit.

Inflation 101. An individual man's attention has no worth anymore because it is so readily given away. It's a social problem that can be observed in many areas.

I don't understand why either. However, in a adult cam site, if a man is willing to give a lot of his money and time to a cam girl, it means the man psychologically would want to be special to her, he feels the more he gives her, the more special he is to her. It might be true if she has only few common visitors, viewers. But things change if the number of viewers get bigger. Every man tries to get her attention, and the dangerous part is they THINK they are UNIQUE and SPECIAL to her that other guys AREN'T. They have a wishful thinking that they are the only one she cares about. In fact, it's not, it's an illusion, and to stay in that illusion, each of em must invest their time and money to SECURE that illusion of belonging. That's why the tips keep increasing, the model gets richer, the viewers get poorer,...and for nothing, for no genuine values or emotions, but for a sense of illusion.

I don't know about twitch or youtube, same?

  10. Why is everyone ignoring what the OP said? He literally said:

And everyone is just ranting about attention whores on Twitch. The OP clearly still has some porn addict in him so he needs help.

  11. What we (or at least me) tried to say is that these things are porn, i.e. what is the point of ASMR besides getting turned on?

  12. Well, depends on what the OP is talking about. There is clearly advertised "erotic/sexy" ASMR, which I agree is basically just soft porn. But I'd say the majority of ASMR on YouTube is simply women (or men) whispering words and making certain noises (usually close-ups of mouth talking into a microphone/hands) that are supposed to trigger an ASMR ( "head orgasms"/"head tingles"). If the OP is saying that the mere sight of an attractive woman (not even necessarily sexualized by dressing in skimpy clothes or even showing off her body) doing such things or playing a game is triggering him, then he clearly hasn't fully learned how to not objectify every single woman he sees and make decisions that are only based on his sexual attraction.

  13. Well yes it is sort of the same with tips there too. I haven't given anyone tips, i just watch the channels. But i think some people take it a bit too far. I have a feeling they get a high out of getting noticed by the girl who is streaming. Because they say thanks for the tip on the video and get all flirty sometimes. Which i imagine makes guys want to do it even more because it must feel like a dopamine high getting this girl to say their name on the video so everyone can see. Like getting good street cred and validation for their good work.

Actually i just literally realised how diverse Twitch is. It's a lot like YouTube. Even though i have only used it for gaming, there are many other useful categories. This is a new thing apparently.

It is only triggering if i choose to make it a trigger. I haven't relapsed once since doing this latest 90 day reboot. I can watch videos without MO over anything. I was just making an observation of how many potential porn substitutes are available these days. From reading the comments on these YouTube and Twitch channels and seeing how these guys objectify woman. Not all ASMR is bad in my opinion depends on what you are looking at. It can be something simple like soundscapes for example used for meditation. In fact many of these are really good for people who have problems falling asleep. Because its therapeutic. Better than using sleeping pills if you are trying to avoid drug usage.

  14. I understand your observation but my point is that you are the one who makes these things porn substitutes because you still seem to have some kind of porn filter in your head. Any woman anywhere can be a porn substitute if you choose to make her one. If you go to the dentist and your dentist is an attractive woman she can be a porn substitute to you just the same, even though she is just a person who is supposed to take care of your teeth. That kind of objectifying isn't normal in my opinion, even if you have learned now not to act on it anymore. I can observe the same behavior on Steam for example, a girl with a regular profile picture playing Sims 4 or whatever will have hundreds of comments on her page by desperate guys. Seeing everything through a sex filter is not healthy or respectful. Just learn to appreciate the person behind the body.

  15. I totally agree but I just want to point out that in some situations the person being objectified knows this in and manipulates it.

Also I think some people are trying to say that a lot of women objectify themselves and “advertise” themselves so to speak.

All of it is fucked up, but yes it’s important to take responsibility. Not just blame the girl for existing when it’s really just you sexualizing and objectifying them in a completely non sexual/normal scenario.

I think it’s pretty easy to sort it all out and know which is which if you just realize your own mistakes and take responsibility for them.

I've seen those channels. Also if you find IRL transmissions on Twitch it's a bunch of cute Chinese girls acting for a crowd. It all feels empty, artificial, fake, and stupid. Yuck.

Mr BEAST right? He's a smart guy, he spends what 20,000 in a video. And then off his 10''s of millions of views, he earns easily 3 to 4 times as much. It's just a ploy, click baiting, getting the extra view. And getting some extra money. Flexing money is one of the most popular things these days...don't buy into it tho.

  20. Yeah that's the guy! I found his YouTube channel by accident. Hes donated $40,000 and even $100,000 to random streamers! Clearly some people, have money to burn. I did not even care that much about Twitch streamers until i watched some of his videos. Getting all of these random streamers to do random stuff for donations. Like getting some Russian girl to sing her national anthem. And other girls to say phrases. Crazy stuff.

Actually you know what hes the reason i even started looking for girl streamers in the first place... Damn YouTube and its addictive nature, just having videos pop up on your screen...
