Building a career should be satisfying in the end I would argue.

As far as I am aware, gifts are not dependent on degrees from monetized educational systems.

However if a psychology credential allows you to utilize your gift, why not forge your own way in time?

Just suffer through whatever crap you can manage until then.

No one starts out with a dream career, well except those prodigies whose karma calls for it.

Remember we all die, making money is insubstantial ultimately.

Jacques Fresco had a gift. He got old and died. His vision will be forgotten before anyone thinks of actually making it a reality.

  5. I’m an aircraft mechanic. I work the graveyard shift. We make sure the planes are ready to go in the morning. We take care of routine maintenance and also fix any discrepancies that may have come up.

  10. I was an usher at IMAX and I quit my movie theater job after almost 3 years of working there because the workplace itself was toxic. Some employees were lazy and egoistical and tried to make things worse and the management couldn't do much. Some of the rules were stupid. I never had a rate or time-off. It's good to see free movies and have 50 percent off on food and drink, that's about it. I can say I'm gladly quit that job a month before I got hired at Lowe's and knew nothing about home improvement but learned a lot of things. Started out as a seasonal outside lawn & garden employer and I has been promoted to Front Ops to scan labels of items and print the streets for all departments. I like my current job but I need to be full-time to earn more money so I can have a good life.

Besides, I hope you will some a good job with good management and good employers around you. Best of luck!

That sounds frigging amazing. What kind of schooling do you need to do to be an airplane mechanic?

  12. That sounds like a common thing in the industry. Read reviews of cinemas on Indeed and you'll see employees say the same thing. I had an interview at a cinema once and got speaking to a fellow interviewee who used to work for another cinema and he told me he left the company because the management just didn't care about their employees. It's a dying industry anyway and probably will die quicker due to the poor management.

  13. There are different routes. For me, I worked on P-3 Orions during my six years in the Navy. I got my FCC license right when I got out. I used my FCC license to get in the door with my airline.

After joining my airline I went back to Jr. College and earned my Airframe and Powerplant Certificates, often (incorrectly) referred to as an A&P License.

You can earn the Airframe and Powerplant Certificates at private schools in 18 months but they cost over ten times as much as going to Jr. College and earning the license in two years. I highly recommend going the Jr. College route.

Airlines want to see that a person has experience and the way to get that is either the military and/or working in General Aviation (private planes).

Expect to work odd shifts and weekends.

Been most of my adult life working graveyard shift and my brain is turning to mush! LOL! The porn is of course a factor in that too.

  14. I noticed that. It's good to see Hollywood and the movie industry are dying because of the society today and it won't get any better until people of our generation need to get their heads out of their goddamn ass.
