I'm not sure. What you have to do to add a counter, is go and edit your signature. If you click on "Settings" up by your username at the top of the page, that will take you to another page. Scroll down and you will see on the left hand side under "My settings" "Edit Signature." Click on that. Paste your link plus whatever else you would like to use as your signature into the box that comes up and then click "save signature"/click "preview signature" to view it and then save. When you make a post, make sure to click the check box that says "Show your signature" next to it. I hope this helps. As for your lost post, I'm not sure. Once again, I hope this helps.
Oh, and if you started a journal, it may take some time for it to be reviewed before they will post it. I wasn't sure if mine went through at first either. Just a heads up!
