Activity to do at night besides PMO?

Discussion in 'Off-topic Discussion' started by Deleted Account, Jun 2, 2018.

  1. What are some good and fun things to do by yourself at night that does not include any phone/video games, or reading?

Meditation is a good thing to do. Simply sit and focus on taking big deep breaths in and out. Next, visualize all of your energy ejecting out of your forehead. It's more or less a breathing exercise. You'll feel your spiritual heart pulsating if you're doing it right. Burning a candle or incense also helps.

  3. Why not reading or video games? Reading is good.

Movies, favorite TV shows, box sets, netflix

    Meditation

    Exercise

    Socializing

    Personal development program

    Stretching

    Music

Dance 20-30 minutes. Dont disregard it, movement is positive emotion. Im going to start dancing to MTV. Hahaha serious ;). Motion is emotion. Move your body, exercise, dance. You increase your confidence dancing so do it in the mirror.

  4. Push ups.
    Pigeon stretch.

    I second push ups.

You can do a load of laundry and watch an episode of Magnum PI at the same time.

  6. If it's safe in your area, go for a walk maybe? Particularly in regards to staving off urges, I think getting out of the house is usually good. Being around people, even if you aren't interacting with them.

Maybe see a movie, or watch one online somewhere. Or exercise, as mentioned above, although too close to bedtime might not be good to do anything too vigorous. It could wake you up.

Other than that, take up a hobby, maybe? Learn something new, like an instrument or how to sew or do a puzzle or learn how to draw or paint or write.

Also, cleaning is always cathartic for me. Lol it can feel like a chore to some people, so it might not be fun for tou, but sometimes it can be nice to clean while listening to a podcast or music or something. Doing something productive but also relaxing at the same time.

Recollecting what you did throughout the day. Making it very challenging by trying to remember each and every thing you did at a specific time in the day, recollecting every conversation you had.

This helps improve memory too !

There’s always sleep. But I usually watch TV, play video games, read or study things (I sorta study stuff for fun... lol). I usually get up around 3-4AM although so I’m not all too experienced with night.

I've been trying to do some of this myself. There are tons of MOOC's (Massive Open Online Course.. or something like that) available online and many of them are free. Check out edx.org or just google 'mooc' and see what you can find.

  12. You can pick up a creative hobby such as blogging, writing blog articles/website content, or some paying freelance jobs online when the night is all quiet and calm, and you get paid at the same time (even $50 per night for a few hours only can be significant by end month.

You can also start a youtube/soundcloud channel, or start your own podcast for interesting things you like. For example, a podcast about Nofap and self improvement?

Finally, you can start learning an instrument such as guitar or piano at night when you are not sleeping :)

    Hello,
because It's night time, I assume you are very tired and don't want to do anything that requires a lot of your brain energy, this means no studying/working.

Here are my personal night activities:
    Organize surroundings.
Get your most used spaces organized, like your bed, workspace, closet, bookshelf, computer desktop, etc.
The final result is very satisfying, and for me, It makes me feel refreshed for having everything on its correct place.
Also, give the floor a small sweep, helps a lot.
Be careful to not wake anyone up if you live with someone.

    Talk with People.
Another thing I like to do is to talk to people, this is mostly digitally since there is no one awake at night.
Enter discord, skype, social media, just socialize, talk to people about anime, hobbies, memes, movies, It's been a long day, this is your fun time.
Remember about your family, talk to them too.
Cmon, we know, most of us here don't have friends, that's why we are here, so If you don't have anyone to talk to, try your best to find interesting people! Lonelyness is not good for you, go do something about it.

    Journaling/Planning.
This is mostly writing, do it digitally or on paper, I preffer on paper because a bright screen keeps me awake at night and I can't sleep.
Open notepad or get a piece of paper, write memorable moments of your day, three positive things that happened and one thing that you would like to change.

    For example:
'Today I finished one chapter of the book '[]' and wrote many notes, I also got fourth place on the monthly reading challenge on []!
Followed most part of my goals, but couldn't contain the urge to eat yesterdays pizza leftover...
    1. I made new friends!
    2. Didn't hit the snooze button.
    3. Traffic was clear when coming back home.
    4. (Extra) Another clean day of NoPMO!"
Today workout session was very short, I wish It could last longer!'

First block made, now for tomorrow planning, write 3 things you want to accomplish tomorrow, remember to be realistic and know your limits.
    For example:
'1. Don't eat any junk food at morning and afternoon
    2. 14+min on workout session
    3. Get a porn website blocker
    4. (Extra) Get 8 hours of sleep'

    Practice Hobbies.
What makes you happy when you work on it?
It's fun to practice your hobbies and keeps your mind busy.

    My personal hobbies:
Cooking, a late-night snack never killed someone, search the internet for recipes of healthy night food, just be careful, your reflexes are definetly not at It's peak at night... don't burn down your house.
Drawing, doesn't need much energy, just a clean desk, piece of paper, pencil and eraser, anything you want, practicing drawing at night is relaxing for me.
Writing, open your mind, write down your stories, find some tips on how to make a good story on the internet, It's amazing.

    Watch something.
    TV, Movies, Reddit, YouTube...
Anything that you are interested in, It's time to have fun.

I don't recommend exercising at night because It will make you more awake, interrupting your sleep.
These are my tips, and If you want to do something even more fun, you can sleep, why are you even awake at night?
