Penis Chafing

Alright, so I actually successfully went free for almost a week. However, I had a "morningwood" yesterday, and, as it was Saturday, my hands reached down "there", and you know what happened. Since I didn't have to go up to school, I then constantly PMed and PMed time after time, with at least 3 times yesterday and 4 times today.
After the 4th time, I started to notice that there's a small wound (along with scabs) on the left of my genital. It's not bleeding, but it hurts when I put my hand on it. I did a quick search on the internet and found that it may have been as a result of chafing, probably due to the friction caused by the constant rubbing of my penis.
Anyways, what I would ultimately want to ask is: Is the wound permanent? [Am I going to have a scar?] and Do I just let it sit there and don't masturbate and don't touch my penis at all?
