Hi, I am a 19 years old student, not addicted too much to pornography, but yes, there is some sort of addiction. I always felt to find some way to get rid of it but as time passes, my mind loses to my hormones I am back to level 0. I hope this platform shall help me recover from my habit.

Hi. Even if you are not addicted, this platform will definitely help you to prevent it and make it easier to deal with it. As you said, it's a bad habit, and habits can always be changed. Good luck!

Well, as a habit, a general recommendation is to change your habit for a more healthy one. Part of my research told me that you should look for any other activity that you enjoy in which you can spend more time and energy instead of going to porn. A sport, arts, learning something new, that would depend on you.

Another recommendation is a journal, in which you can simply tell how you feel or keep record of how you deal with porn.

And one of the wisest things that someone has ever told me is to make a plan. First identify triggers, then make a plan of alternative actions. So you learn to identify triggers and be efficient of how to deal with them. The actions can be an activity that I mentioned, go outside for a walk and try not to be alone, call a friend or talk to someone, etc.

However, this would be up to you, since I don't know a lot. But these are some general recommendations for anyone to begin with. Also, when I first joined, they sent me some links with information that was useful, I don't know if you have already received anything similar.

And also, the best resource is this website is the community itself. You already used the forum, that will be very helpful since in this website there are many other users who are trying to change this habit and many others who have achieved it and want to help others. Use that wisely to your advantage too.
