Hello, it is important to find your triggers and how to deal with them in another way. For me, the stress/sadness lead me to the PMO, so now I'm going to swim to relax. Set a filter on the computer and the phone. Write down the reasons why you want to leave this, keep it close (maybe on your phone or room) and watch it when you feel urges, good luck:)

Welcome Jake. Come here often and read the posts by other guys just like yourself each time you feel the urge to browse porn. Let reality open your eyes and it helps to make you think more clearly. Get up and walk outside, take a cold shower, get out of the house, anything to divert your attention and let you see what else is out there besides internet porn and masturbation. You can do this-take it one day at a time and feel good each day you resist. Soon enough you will begin to realize you do not need to do this every day. Good luck!

  5. Hey Jake, it's great to see a young guy like you see the problem and make this kind of step to correct it. I wish I'd done this years ago (I'm 38).

These guys in the community really know what they're talking about. I second what's been said here already. All I could add really is to say that it's hard to break a habit, but easier to replace a habit with another habit. Avoiding PMO is a great and essential first step - replace the time and energy you would spend on it with something that you find fun, and that make your mind busy and rewarded.

All the best, you'll do great!
