Habit to Replace Porn?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Oct 17, 2014.

  1. I Noticed was While Watching Porn,I Feel no Tension about my Life,no worries of study,no worries of getting good universities etc. I Perform No Such Activities during days when i not PMO.I've Heard my Teacher Saying to us and Watched in couple of Videos on Youtube that Do One Task Daily that You Can just Enjoy and Forget All the Worries about Future. But What is the Task? What should I Do to Replace this Bad Habit?
-Meditation doesn't kills all my worries. It Just Relaxes me.
-I Feel like i shouldn't worry too much,But As the Days Increase after the Relapse,I'm More Worried,I Want to conquer this,I Want to Conquer That,Conquer Everything in this World. And I Don't Know Why I Feel Frustrated after 2-3 days of my relapse, and When I Feel Frustrated,I Always Relapse. It's like My Brain is trained to get Depressed after some clean days.I Hope There is a Video on Youtube About This.Or If there is not,I'd Request Alexander and Mark to Make a video About this Topic.
+I'm having lots of semen coming out these days when i ejaculate, and I'm having Wet Dreams very frequently too.Is this a sign of increasing sexuality as i'm 15 and still growing? It makes very hard to control the desire to watch porn,I feel like i'm full of semen and my penis is going to burst if i not masturbate.

Young and full of cum - yes I am afraid so ;) So, you find meditation helps when you are stressed, that's good. I think the growing frustration is the accumulation of the 'chaser effect' which can still be there after 3 days.

Meditation is a path. One comes to it. Its not a cure. It is a practice. There are no measures. Over time and effort through commitment, it yields a skill to allow the mind to redirect its attention. An actual Mindfulness Meditation practice is well worth the time.

Transmute that energy to chase your goals.

Gotta have goals to transmute this energy towards.

Physical activities such as yoga and or weight training, running, cycling. Something that requires output, it can't be passive (BTW Meditation done as a practice is not passive).

    Writing, cooking, painting, singing.

Sit down this weekend and brainstorm. Ask a friend or family member what they think you have shown a skill for and follow that. Or take a test (questionnaire), that will help you find a direction.
Also you might take the time to just sort out your life. Write down your priorities from top to bottom.

Sorry if this sounds pushy, but it sounds to me that that is what you want, a push.

  6. You are looking porn because you have tensions, because you are afraid of being judged. In fact, you are afraid of other people.

Therefore, my advice is, make a habit to socialize. Team up with others, or even better build up own teams. Become used to talk in front of others. Become used to be in the point of interest. Become a leader! Step out! Talk! What topics are you interested in?

Right now, your brain is a dopamine junky. It is going through withdraw so you are experiencing withdraw symptoms.

Imagine your brain is a good friend whom you are trying to help get off drugs. You have that friend staying at your house and are being bombarded by all sorts of attempts, by said friend, to get another hit of dopamine. The depression you feel is one such attempt.

Of course your brain is part of you so lets alter the scope of our imagined friend and focus on you. You feel depressed, because your brain wants its hit. If it can make you miserable enough you may cave and hit the magic feel good button and fap away. So you need to find a way to gather your will power to ignore your misery.

Finding activities helps for sure but you also need something for when are not doing anything, like when you are in bed at night. What has helped me is a reward system. I found something that I really, REALLY, want but I would not other wise get because there are far more important things to spend my money on. I've already worked into my budget. So now, I have a reward for when I make it three weeks without PMO.

The moment I feel particularly weak, I just focus on how much I want my three week reward, and how much I will enjoy it.

Also it helps to have someone at home to help you stay strong. This person can be a parent, friend, girl friend, the important thing is that they are supportive and give you someone you can talk to at a moment's notice and gives you someone to be accountable to. For me that person is my wife. I can't tell you how much it has helped me to just talk to her about what I'm experiencing and to have her by my side offering encouragement.

  8. What did you always wanted to do, bro? What's your bucketlist? What do you want to do the most? You have the power to do it. Forget about PMO, focus on your dreams. Dedicate yourself body mind soul to it, and you'll forget that PMO is such a thing. It's the pure beauty of quitting an addiction. I'm speaking for myself to, don't think it's easy, I know it sounds easy.

Apart from that, I agree with everything that has been said, it's very valuable advice.

  9. All of the Above Comments are appreciated.I'll Surely work towards my passion and will not fear of PMO. I Can Do It. :)
