A dose to improve your de-personalisation

Ever since nofap I've been rocking my brain as to why I'm not feeling normal yet. I'm 104 days in and didn't really notice many improvements. The depersonalization effect was the thing I wanted rid of the most as it affected my relationships with people and also myself.

Now I realise analysis is paralysis. Let go of your image, the way you're supposed to be, and embrace the dance, be who you are.

And it's ridiculous how I managed to ignite something just now. I looked in the mirror until it felt really awkward....I realised, wait a minute that's me!

I think when we see ourselves we don't look to see us but someone else. How we imagine ourselves to be.

This STOPS you from taking things too seriously!!!!

This method brings the BIGGEST dose of gratifications possible, understand that you are originally two beings you are your mind and you are your body. This may mindfuck you. I suggest trying it though.

Most of us when we fap we want to rid ourselves of the responsibility of our bodies, push it away...this method is funny because you realise hey that's just my body, I can do whatever I want...make stupid faces to yourself, enjoy your body and you will realise you are yourself again!

It rids you of your ego and checks you in with your inner child, your oracle. It might seem a little crazy, but it's actually what is achieved by grieving. It creates the same result.

We avoid ourselves when we are depersonalised and depressed, just look in the mirror analyse what you see but don't pass judgment....

    Yes it's you!

Porn makes us think we are our body only, this reminds you that you are 2 entities. Look at your dopey toes and laugh, they look funny but it's fantastic! Hahaha

I believe this is key to unlocking less stress, allows you to love thyself and Reconnect you with yourself.

Keep it going !! Best of luck folks!

It's a bit like brain fog, but you somewhat forget what it feels like to have normal sensations

well i cured any sense of depersonalization long before I thought PMO was even such a big issue. Sounds like your on the right track but if i may suggest what I did is just continually threw myself out of my comfort zone, and did every physical activity i could do and meditated and made certain that I would be empathic to people and got more religious and then it just went away. You are right about the body mind thing though, your onto something there, but in my experience 'de'personalization comes from overthinking and specifically overthinking things till that human part is gone. Because you get feelings and sensations and signals you just bounce them off of something, its a bad habit.

also, NoFap doesn't change your life, it just takes away a time wasting habit. we have to create ourselves from the bottom up.

You can't just cure it, it disappears over time if you live healthy, through exercise, diet, meditation, celibacy and fasting. It's gradual in its disappearance.

Thank you for your responses, I got a little caught up in the title I guess, you guys have provided me with very good insights. I'm going to try out the fasting thing as I believe I have a bit of anxiety related digestion issues, once that's out of the way I can really check in with my progress

    God bless!
