Benefit of cold showers?

  1. I take like a minute once a day cold showers, that’s in the evening. I shower in the mornings too but it’s too cold at 630am...

    There has been a bunch of studies done because it has been a new trend that "cold showers will build up will power".

    Conclusive benefits found from taking cold showers:
    1: Help your immune system.
    2: Helps muscles to recover after working out.
    3: Healthier skin and hair

    There also has been a study where people were found to do more work if they took a cold shower that morning vs a hot shower. This correlation was interpreted that if people were primed by doing uncomfortable things like taking a cold shower in the morning, if they were to face any other uncomfortable situations during that day, they would be less inclined to shy away from it and just do it. This is all conjecture and not based on science but I thought it was interesting and possibly true to certain individuals.

    There has also been studies about the benefits of hot showers to plays devils advocate:
    1: Relaxes/warms up muscles
    2: Increase oxytocin levels and reduces anxiety; reduces stress
    3: improves circulation

    So both have benefits, personally I take warm showers in the morning when I wake up. It's winter and it's cold when I get out of bed and its a nice way to ease myself into the day. Later at night tho, I take cold showers after my work out.

    I did Cold Showers over summer and can definitely suggest to anyone, an energy boost happens... for sure!!!

    but when you're in a very cold climate, the last thing anyone would willingly want to do is jump in a cold shower.

    due to relapsing this morning.... I'm gonna do just that!!!!

  9. I notice doing a warm shower first then finishing it off cold is easier than jumping in and go straight to freezing cold

    I read about it and I thought that's cool let me try. I never stopped doing it.

    I shower everyday or every other day. Only coldshowers. When I am really horney or feel stressed I also take a cold shower. It's like taking a drug but no side effects! It helps immediately. It makes me calm and gives me alot of energy and willpower.

  11. Yeah it does help on the stress a little. After a cold shower I feel very energized for the next hour, tingly all over my body and I’m somewhat happier, better mood
