I would bet that 99% of high schoolers (boys at least) masturbate to porn. I would also bet this is why so many more boys are underachieving in school, especially when compared to their girl counterparts. The overwhelming majority of these boys have never heard of NoFap. I am a 14 year old boy, in high school, who thankfully (by the will of God) stumbled upon this site. Others aren't so lucky though.

I was thinking, what would be a way for me to reach out to the boys at my school. I figured, a school sponsored club (only for boys) would be very beneficial to the boys, the school in general, and even the girls. It would improve test scores, create a healthier atmosphere, and would improve the school in almost every way.

Obviously, there would be many obstacles. Some would consider the idea controversial (even though anyone who knows a little about PMO addiction knows that porn is never good). I want to know, what would be some obstacles in doing something like this? It would take some serious guts to make a club about fapping. Would the school even allow it? Would the parents get triggered? I know I would probably get made fun of at first but I'm not really scared of that. What do you guys think? Am I crazy?

It definitely could be a reason, although I'd doubt every boy does it on a regular basis. Societal and cultural issues could play a role, such as learning styles (behavioural scientists found that girls tend to excel at verbal learning while boys tend to do better at mechanical tasks), behaviours and less concern for boys' needs unfortunately.

The Extreme Leftists will label an all-boys club to be sexist and not inclusive.

Honestly, health classes should cover topics such as the addiction to porn rather than the topics they currently deal with. However, parents also have that responsibility of teaching their kids about the basics of these types of topics, and not rely on a nanny state to do it for them.

I think your idea would be beneficial , but I don't think it'll ever happen lol. Your target audience is a bunch of teenage hormonal boys many of whom have nothing better to do after school than to go home and jack off. I don't think anybody would take you seriously either when talking about PMO addiction and why one of the goals of NoFap is to stop PMO all together. The common knowledge nowadays, and when I was in highschool (just a few years ago), is that masturbation is healthy and perfectly normal. I think you'll stand alone if you try to go through with this idea, but it would also be cool to at least try , right ?

Everything you said is true but I feel that a lot of people would be interested if they knew the benefits. For example, I always hear people talking about how they are so tired/exhausted. PMO could be the cause.

It could be, or it could be a plethora of other factors in their lives. To really prove your point about why people shouldn't engage in PMO I think you'd have to provide research and evidence

Yes you are very lucky, I really wish this website existed when I was your age. As Ive said many times on this forum, the information about PMO danger is slowly spreading and I think its not enough. You, my friend, can do what I would love to do, you can create an anonymous account and message all your friends a link to a video explaining the effects of P on brain...and also a link to this website, to convince them its actually real.

  7. You are not crazy at all buddy.

Is the Lord pointing you in this direction?

    Hello!
    I graduated HS last year
But despite the benefits of your suggestions, I believe it wouldn't work out
At this day & age, It is about image/popularity/Clout .Social Media Usage is at an all time high. & With that it also includes cyber bullying.
I would suggest flyers of this site be pinned around the campus ..So if people who do have problems with PMO can connect to this site anonymously & safely . Kids in HS are cruel ...Them being consumed into groups and being peer pressured to do things that are wrong.
    Very sad indeed

  10. " 'It's not the school, the parents are the problem', but if you teach kids how to parent that's the problem solved!"

Quitting PMO takes a lot of effort into making your life better, and for some reason most kids don't want to take action.

As for "telling them the benefits", do you think that most people would give up their comfortable reality because someone told them that it has benefits? When they quit PMO they will encounter a lot of challenges, and most people will prefer being tired and comfortable.

There is no short term solution, there is a long term solution, and there is something you can do.

A long term solution would be changing the entire school system, that would have to include more freedom for learning, and also more option to learn things that kids would actually use in life, but only someone that starts young in such a system will have the most benefits.

Them those kids would be great parents and they would put their children in the new great school. Of course, that depends on the initiative of a small group of influential people (and they are not willing to do such a thing).

What can you do? Be aware of it, and make other people aware of it too. You can do this with your friends. Firstly they will be very closed and uncomfortable, but with time they will think for themselves and change.
