If someone looked at a porn video for a very brief amount of time, but doesn’t masturbate to it, is that a relapse?

I think we all need to set our own goals, and establish rules that we think will get us to those goals.

For me personally, I'm going hardmode. NO P, NO M, NO O. Period.

If I looked at a porn video, I would reset my counter to zero and start over.

    ...but that's just me...

    Hmm.

I personally think it’s a relapse if you edge, ejaculate, or pre-ejaculate on yourself intentionally
I’m more of a masturbation addict than a porn addict.

    Quitting porn is easy.

    Quitting masturbation isn’t.

    Sounds fair to me.

It's your process, and your rules. If you say you're good, then you're good!

    Ok good.

    I’m also kinda worried.

  6. Please be more specific i.e. 10 seconds; 30 seconds; a couple of minutes.

Less than 2 minutes, give or take

  8. IMO anything over a minute is a relapse. If it were even 20 or 30 seconds, I think a lot of people on this site would regard that as a relapse. Remember, that even though relatively brief, it is a choice you have made (1) to turn it on and (2) not to turn it off immediately.

It’s weird, because when I would ejcaulte to the video, I would feel like crap later.

Now, I don’t feel that much like crap.

What’s weird is that later on, I saw that listening to music naturally produces dopamine.

    And it’s helping, somewhat

  10. Because the release of dopamine was much less than a longer exposure and it did not include masturbation/ejaculation.

So I guess I got set back by 1-2 days?

  12. Yes, if it was one or two days ago.
