Hello, 30 years old here have this addiction since I was in my early teens excessive masterbation and watching porn. Now it's becoming at the point being a habit routine for me masterbating 2 or 3 times a week. For example I work the grave yard shift from midnight to 8am then after I go to gym workout for an hour and half. When I get home I shower, eat then that when i start pulling out my phone watching porn and masterbate before I go sleep. I will do the same sometimes when I wake up later in the evening before I get ready for work and I usually take an hour nap after when I make preparation each evening before work. I don't have any other addiction besides this issue and I feel it's effecting my life, I don't have girl friend currently because I view women mostly physical sexual objects, pervious I had bad relationship that always involved money me being used(that's another story). I'm also taking classes online to complete my degree so dating looking to be with someone isn't in my mid set now if anyone would suggest I should but not at the moment. Im just tired of this feeling right now as I writing this on my way to work, my mind feel groggy awful feeling, sometimes I have this lack of motivation, it's effecting my studies sometimes but I do still keep up with all my assignments and get good grades. On my days off when I'm bored I would masterbate just the fun of it. I keep. I don't tell my family about my issue and I'm hoping joining the NoFap group will help me change and give motivation to end my addiction with the support of others. I already feel good to discuss and share this with others knowing I'm not the only person going through this probem. Thank you for reading my intro and I could continue on writing about my issue but I don't want to write a book lol. It's nice to meet you all and hope we can support one another to end our addiction.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

    Thank you
Hi, D.J thanks for your comment. To answer your question, I'm going to go cold turkey stop watching porn, I heard some would go slow stop watching porn and masterbate once or twice a week and build themselves to stop completely. My plane is already downloaded an app called mobile security and antivirus by tread micro. It's good app with different features. One of them will blocked any select website you choose and listed in the blacklist. I don't have to download any third party website app with the block feature. It block any website in my pre installed Google chrome app. I blacklisted the porn sites I usually visit. if I feel an urge and try to visit the website are blocked and I put a message on blocked page "don't forget what I am trying to accomplish, now start doing 2 set of 30 push ups and 3 sets of 12". I will tired myself whenever I feel the urge.

Thank you for your replied. It wasn't easy telling my story to others. I Never spoke about my probem to anyone due to feeling emotional about being embarrass ashamed etc . I was considering seeing a therapist or participate in sex addict class, but once I heard about NoFap when I was reading an online article last night about the November challenge, I want to part of it this is my answer to stop pmo. This is a first step for me to break my habit. It's feel good to know I'm not the only person and I can share my issues and experience to seek help also, do same for other members.
