Excellent idea. One thing I find to be beneficial is to take a piece of paper and write out these two headings on either side: Ways NoFap Will Benefit Me/Ways PMO will Diminish Me. Write out as many reasons as you can under each heading, and place that above your computer (or wherever it is you typically indulge). I find it an excellent way to remind yourself of why you've decided to walk this path.

Thanks for that motivation bro. I too have a lot of pending work. As I told I just joined a new company a few days back and can't afford to do anything wrong at this stage. I have been doing just like you are doing for the past week. But I feel weak now after fighting all these days. But at the same time I am working hard to keep going and not give up in any case.

That's great to hear. Well, I got to take these dogs of mine out, but stay strong. It's 100% worth it.

  7. Go for a walk, to the forest, making some running or biking would also be beneficial, go out of home, leave your phone, take as many deep breaths in nature as you can, do some cold showers and DECIDE I WILL NOT FUCKING GIVE UP

The most important honestly is to remain calm and in the moment.

Keep going! and if it doesn't work after a week, then maybe it's not for you? but if you don't reach that mark, you'll never know if it was just a flatline or not for you

Think of it like this: You are a man. not a boy anymore. A man is he who can control his lust and stay strong.

Your willpower Will get stronger overtime. Each time you refuse to give up you are actually making yourself more disciplined. Keeping yourself away from sexually triggering situations and material is also required very much. Identify them and keep yourself away from them, it will make it a bit easier. And each time you have an urge find something else to do... If nothing comes in mind then start to do some heart rate lifting exercises right then if you're at home. Like push ups or squats etc.

Thanks for that faith and encouragement ... This is world war 3 ... We need to keep fighting ... and defeat the porn industry by releasing more and more people who are captivated by them ... I thank the creators of this site for having brought up such a wonderful "help-each-other" platform ...

My longest streak was 21 days and honestly, I felt the same thing as you do (as a 14-year-old). Stay strong, and try to stay away from social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Quora (That thing is surprisingly, incredibly toxic to your NoFap reboot). I've just relapsed a few moments back, and man, does it suck!

I feel Facebook is a crap and complete waste of time. I hardly open it. I don't remember my Instagram password. I feel lazy to get a new password. Twitter is not my thing because neither am I a celebrity, nor do I follow one. On the other hand, I hate film personalities because I feel they are at least partially responsible for my addiction. I feel that for many people, film industry acts as a gateway to porn. And I stopped watching movies over 2 years ago. I watch them sometimes but in an express mode (ie I finish off a 2 hr movie in just 10 mins or so.. ;)) ... Finally quora is something that I cannot avoid because of the information it gives me. Nevertheless Quora hasn't harmed me much.

In short, I am not much of a social network freak. I use only one thing ie "WhatsApp" as it has become quite a basic thing here in my place. Still to be truthful, I find that WhatsApp too hasn't harmed me much in terms of porn because there's no one in my circle who share porn videos.

The major thing that has bothered me in my streak is my thoughts from the porn which I have watched previously. That one is absolutely difficult to avoid. Really, If you are able to control your thoughts, you can control absolutely anyone.

Most of the time, the news feed will spit some random bullshit, other times it will spit some sort of triggering material. At least, that's the case for me, so I'd say, no, don't use it very often. About the "post-relapse-afterburn" effect. Right. Try to thwart the thoughts as soon as they pop up - it will help.

There is this one interesting quote I would like to share:

Every sin begins with a thought, If you don't replace that thought with something useful, it turns into an idea and becomes a little more difficult to get rid of. If you don't get rid of the idea, it turns into a plan. ie you start planning for it. If you still don't stop, you actually commit the sin. It doesn't stop there. If you don't get rid of the sin, you start feeling a fake enjoyment in it and then before you realize, it becomes an addiction. At this point, you hate it but can't get rid of it.
