Hey, so I received an email from NoFap about how people were using lego sets to visualize their rebooting process and I thought it is an interesting idea. I'd be more motivated and feel more accomplished by seeing something I built by adding pieces everyday rather than numbers on a screen. I'm not really into lego but I've purchased a fantasy villa woodworking construction kit which has between 200 and 300 pieces so I plan on adding a piece every night if I don't PMO and then once it's built I'll begin painting a section each day. I was getting major urges last night and this morning but looking at the piece I've already added and the photo of what it will look like helped me get through them. I've only done over a day so far so I'll see how it goes and report every few weeks with a photo. I think it's very motivating because you don't want to take it all apart and start again so it gives you a massive boost of willpower to fight urges.
That's a really neat idea! I'm not very handy like that, but I might add to a collection that could represent my success, too.
It's only been 2 days but I'm having major urges (shows how bad my addiction is) and looking at the pieces I've added is getting me through some difficult times. Adding the piece last night after making it through the day made me feel really accomplished. Hope you find your own method of visualization to help you along the way.
Usually would have fapped a minimum of 3 times by now, going strong but major urges. Getting constant erections all day too, suppose that is a good thing but makes the urges more difficult. Got my model to keep me motivated though My longest streak is 17 days so if I can beat that then the model building idea works
I've now done nearly a week (my longest streak in over a year), convinced that this method may work. I'm still impulsively flirting with girls on text but I will deal with that another time, just focusing on stopping PMO for now. The house is looking good too
I stumbled across the Lego thing too. I need those little dopamine hits more often though, so I got a kit and add pieces on an hourly basis, usually a few hours at a time. Definitely helping!
