Day 2 Check In. My research into OSHO, meditation, and various books and podcasts continues. This morning reading Radha’s book a passage from it really resonated with the journey and battle we are on: “This too will pass. That life keeps moving and that the only times it gets dark is when you are trying to fix it!” The first part of the passage is an important concept to recognise that the urge will pass. Identify the urge, hold the trigger and it shall pass. But, further that recognising the urge, the trigger, holding it and seeing what it really is, why it has an affect on you, is powerful. I tried this tonight on my way home after work. A very pretty lady walked past and it really started to fire a trigger in me. But stopping and thinking further, knowing I had “caught” the trigger and how it was affecting me was empowering and I had the first glimmer of insight. I will have to keep working on this one. The second part of the passage I am taking with the concept that change is always with us, life is always moving, but if we want to make a significant change in our life, that is where we can find the struggle, the darkness, or the battle in this forum. Sorry if I’m going a bit deep or spiritual/Buddhist/OSHO here.
Good morning soldiers. I wanted to share an old old post that might help some people here. It’s from 2014, but the message remains the same today. The quote above outlines a breathing technique to dispel an urge. As with anything, your mileage may vary, if it helps, use it. If it doesn’t, discard it.
Checking in day 81, doing great though a bit tired, lots of work. Congrats on your streak! Yesterday I spent great time with my girls (friends), lots of smiles, laughs, and hugs, felt just great
