Its clear that God doesn't want us to masturbate.. So if we follow the experts they will say its good to masturbate, but God is smarter than them. If its good to masturbate then that means God doesn't exist.. So lets test out this theory...
So I have a problem with my testicles.. I feel and something tells me in my heart that its caused my masturbation.. I never gave it time to heal.. I been hearing stories from people that say its caused by not masturbating.. That the testicles hurt from not masturbating.. I'm going to prove them wrong and prove that the word of God is correct. I'm going to cure myself from this.
If you have pain in your testes what does that have to do with God? Did he communicate to you through or in your testicles? Given the Bible Does have things to say about masturbation, I encourage you to find the passage. Here’s a clue it has to do with seed. What you are saying here sounds frivolous.
I can respect that bro. No worries. I’m not here to cause dissension. I thought you were looking to follow God and His Word. My bad. Blessings and I hope you feel better.
I’m not here to school anyone man. I’m here for healing — not preaching. Just be careful assuming God talked to you if it goes contrary to the Bible. That’s all I’m saying. Your impressions can be wrong... “there is a path that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the way of death.” Given He says our hearts are “evil and desparately wicked”, you need to “test the spirits to see if they testify or me.” Sorry I’m quoting from memory but I can add ref if you need it.
You don't know everything.. Stop thinking you know everything. You don't know what he says to me. I don't know what he says to you.
Seriously? Bro, chillax lol. All I said is you can’t get messages that contradict Gods word. By the way HE said that. So if you wanna get mad, take it up with Him. He said “if they do not speak according to this truth it is because there is no light in them.” Seems clear to me. Goes for any topic, any issue Do whatever you want Man. And I do hope you feel better.
Both roman catholic and eastern orthodox theology agrees that masturbation is a sin. You will find this labelled as sin in catechisms, in Summa Theologiae by Saint Thomas Aquinas etc. For Tradition case of masturbation is clear. Sex in christian theology to be considered moral should happen in marriage and most denominations agree that it should be open for procreation (well, it was literally first commandment God gave to human). Masturbation is a try to achieve sexual pleasure outside marriage and procreation. The biblical story of Onan, while it wasn't directly against masturbation, it was against sex that is against procreation. The procreation issue is complicated and a matter of controversy, but long story short, if you are having sex, you should not use contraception, sex during infertile days, when woman is pregnant or if man or woman is infertile is considered moral. It is logical that if sex that is against the procreation rule is not allowed, then sexual act that have nothing to do with it and is from its very nature outside marriage, then such act is immoral. I am not a professional theologian, I don't know if that was clear enough, I might look for the specific parts if that helps. Now I'll have to adress the elephant in the room. If somebody here in the thread is a protestant, then you have the sola scriptura rule and protestants generally want biblical quotes that are directly adressing the problem. Every major religion have some kind of scripture commentary or appendix and theology, Judaism has the Talmud, Islam has Hadith, Catholicism and Orthodoxy has Tradition. Even to understand legal acts well, you usually need commentaries, supreme courts decisions, precedents etc. Interpreting everything directly from the Bible is repeating work that was done for hundreds of years by great minds. Especially if you are looking for answear for a simple moral question, like is masturbation ok or not, it might be useful to go to catechism or some other kind of commentary. You'll find not only quotes you look for, but also insight you might not have yourself. Some things can only be interpreted from other biblical rules. For example you will not find explicit condemnation of porn in the Bible, because there was no porn as we know it in 1st century AD. But it would be ridiculous to claim that watching porn is ok then. It is arousing yourself outside marital sex and this is occasion for sin and they should be avoided. If you are christian reading Bible is crucial but it is good to look for some commentaries to not lost anything.
