Hey bud I used to smoke weed from the age of 17 to 31. for the most part it was enjoyable, but towards the end not so much. Everyone responds to cannabis differently, for me it got to the point where i was poorly motivated, lazy, talking crap, not able to be 'with it' my head was so far up in the clouds i forgot what it was like to be back down on earth. My problem with drugs and porn was more to do with cocaine and porn, coke and cannabis are like polar opposites, but i realised when i got help to quit all drugs that cannabis was a link in the chain, just like alcohol was. So today i'm over 4 years sober from all drugs and alcohol and it's the best decision i've ever made.
On another note, i had a close friend who smoked an ounce in a couple of days (already a regular smoker anyway) and ended up in a psychiatric ward because he started to suffer from paranoid delusions. I remember going to see him in hospital and him telling me he could change the direction of the wind with his mind. Luckily he got over that episode but for many people who are susceptible to mental health problems, cannabis can act as a catalyst for more severe symptoms which often take time to build up. One thing i know for certain is that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. If you still want to toke, nothing anyone here or in your daily life will say will make you stop, if you wanna smoke it then you gonna smoke it, but litterally you are playing with fire.....nothing lasts forever.
Weed is the most opposite psychoactive substance to violence. Someone killing anyone for the effect of weed is 1930s level propaganda. You know where the idea of weed making you insane comes from? Drunken mexicans. The newspaper started attributing the violence in immigrants induced by alcohol to weed for the sole reason of it being negative for the plastic and paper industry. John Ford made an incredible automobile from hemp only. Farmers everywhere in the world have always remembered hemp as a medicine, not only in asian cultures or native americans, but in europe as well. Our great-grandfathers used hemp for treating almost any general disease and malfunction. In Florence, there's a big three-part wall painting with fields of crops, grapes, and hemp, stating: For bread: wheat. For parties: grapes. For health: hemp. There's a 3000 years old clay tablet found in india describing a fucking caesarean childbirth (the firsr reported in history) that ends with: this has been made possible thanks to the knowledge shiva gave us, and hemp.
That's just asking for trouble. Weed is not like some magical thing you can feed yourself off. It's a tool which can lead to good things and bad things. And some people cannot handle it. It's just not for everyone. But it has been scientifically proven not to be inherently harmful for your well-functioning, like every other drug, including alcohol. How many people get killed by alcohol every year? By overdose, by suicide, or by murder, or by accident induced by it?
Weed tends to get what you've got inside out. The best and the worst. If you already had mental problems, coupious weed usage is sure to worsen it dramatically. That's just a fact.
