How long did it take you to admit you were a Porn Addict?

I don't think so. I think it depends on the circumstances. It depends on when you started watching P. When did it get out of control and so on. I think most people notice it, when they notice negative side - effects (e.g. problems at work or whatever).

  2. How did you realize you were an addict?

  3. I would guess it's the opposite way. The older you are the easier it is to identify because of your reference points to life before porn or before it became a big deal.
Those that grew up with high speed internet during puberty are not only much more likely to have a harder time quitting, because the roots are so much stronger, but they also are much less likely to even identify it as a codependancy.
    Wake>shower>eat>porn.
Its just part of their daily poisioning. Totally oblivious

  4. I recognized i had a problem in college when i had alot more time to myself. I had been looking at porn since age 11 and i had looked at it all through my teens although at the time it wasn't ever more than a few hours a week.

Later when i got my first personal apartment at 23 i tried to quit and i kept succumbing to my urges. Thats when i knew..

Back in the day, people would talk about Nofap November on 4chan. I remember trying it and realizing it was harder than I would have thought. Then, I remember coming to this site and thinking "bingo. that's me." So, to answer your question, more or less as soon as I knew there was such a thing as porn addiction I knew I had a problem.
