I’ve had issues with PE for as long as I can remember and been PMO-ing (with edging) since the age of eight. Definitely hasn’t had a good effect on me. Good luck to you in your search for a solution!
FWIW, I have had far fewer problems with PE since I started NoFap. It's not 100% better, but I think (for me at least) it's mostly psychological: I get over excited thinking about what's going on and then go off like a rocket. If I'm obsessing over sex less and don't always have my sex drive turned up to 11, I seem to be much less prone to getting carried away. I'm pretty sure edging wouldn't do me any good.
PE is related to heart rate. Quote "At rest, the average heart rate is around 70 beats per minute; during orgasm it almost doubles, rising to about 120." Slow your breathing - prevent PE.
