So, I was just thinking about it and over time I've come to realize that one of my shortcomings is that my view of women is too tied to sex. After all, when one's interactions with women mostly happen in the hyper-sexualized world of internet pornography, I think one loses sight of what's important in a woman. I haven't given much thought at all about what makes a woman appealing to me other than her physical appearance. What are some traits you look for in a woman? I sincerely don't know what to look for in a woman because I've only had one relationship and it was a bad relationship. I find playfulness attractive. I guess I'm interested in a good conversationalist. Aside from that, I dunno. So what do you guys think?
I want a woman I can call my best friend. I want to be able to be completely transparent and open with her. Someone who is athletic and cares able their personal health. Those are only a few things I look for in a woman.
As far as physical traits go... I like blondes with blue eyes. Regarding personality traits, I like it when a girl is friendly, kind, loving, extroverted, confident, and has some degree of interest in reading literature.
@UnorthodoxBox , it sounds like you have pretty good taste in women. Have you had lots of relationships or have you just given it lots of thought? @aguy100 lol. I guess I'm looking for a girl who isn't a goodie two-shoes. A bad bitch... haha. Intelligence, charm, good looks, warmth, outgoing, kindness...
Like you mate, I also had only one serious relationship and it went really bad. It's really hard to say what I'm searching in women. When I found the girl I loved, it was like I loved everything about her - I consumed her icon as a whole, I liked her with with everything, with some teeth defects she had (it was hard to detect, but I found them), not super model body she had... everything. But i was in love, so that explains it. For now, I've really lost the power of "consuming the whole icon". It's really hard for me to fall in love or something like that - even If I like a girl and we're getting closer to each other, there must appair some kind of problem which really makes me to say "no, she's not the girl I want" and I'm giving up all the perspectives. But, I believe that the thing I'm searching in girls is their joy - I like girls who love life and are in good mood for most of the time. I just can't stand a woman which doesn't know what she wants from life and she's traumatized (I don't want someone like me).
EPIC Ok, disclaimer, I read many TRP sources. So, to be more serious: I think there has to be basic attraction, so yes, physical appearance is important. Also look on the negatives (these are far easier to find and avoid them of course): As an example, tatoos, piercings, etc & most forms of body mutilation are a sign of bad judgement & lack of foresight in general. You said, you had one relationship and it was a bad relationship, so think (or even write down a list) of traits, which made this relationship bad. (And how to spot them in the long run) So with the negatives out of the way, think of positive traits: E.g. if you plan a LTR or maybe a family, then strong family values and a caring personality should be one of main the criteria.
Primarily, I've just given it a lot of thought, I have trouble approaching females, and people in general. I don't interact with people nearly as much as I observe them... in some sense, being detached from socializing gives you a more abstract and general idea of people, which is useful for social insight. I want to be more outgoing, though. How am I going to date, or even meet a girl who I might be interested in while sitting on the sidelines? I have to put myself out there. I would advise that all dudes who are on this journey to quit PMO do the same.
