Home gym? I have a home gym with dumbbells from 3 pounds to 40. I recently bought a pullup bar+dips and pushup station which is awesome. And also a max 100 pound barbell + plates and a 60 dollar bench. I have to upgrade my bench and barbell to Olympic. What do you have in your personal gym?
20kg dumbells, 60kg Olympic barbell, pullup bar, floor mat, punching bag and built by myself a dipper with concrete blocks.
I tore my pec a year and a half ago but continued working out on it. 6 months ago I was repping 225 lbs (5 times) for bench. I had surgery to repair my torn pec 5 months ago. I am now at like 115 lbs. It's a little depressing but a month ago (when my doctor cleared me to start back at the gym) I could hardly bench the bar so I'm hoping progress in recovery will start getting faster. I'm hitting the gym 6 times a week now and have physical therapy twice a week.
I do dumbell presses bc I dont lift w others so I don't want to bench without a spotter. I can do dumbbell presses with like 55lbs dumbells w it lasting to 12 reps. I haven't tried to go higher yet. When you say how much can you bench are you talking about multiple reps or just 1-2 reps and then you're done? Bc there's a BIIIGGGGG difference
Benching is overrated anyways. You can cheat easily bc you use your legs, arms, etc. Not just your chest obviously.
I bench 85kg (about 190 Pounds) - 5 Sets, 5 Reps each time.. Never tried how much i can do 1 Rep with. Started with 25kg (66 Pounds) Note: Leave your ego outside the gym.. The weight doesn't matter, just feel the pain in your muscles
