I'm new to this community and very grateful for finding it. I've been unhappy with my sexual life for close to 10 years now. Primarily, I have never been able to ejaculate easily for blowjobs (only have ejaculated from blowjobs literally a handful of times in my life) even though I have many bj's in my life. I've also masturbated near daily, often multiples times per day, since 14 years old. I'm 35 now. Lately, I do not finish from sex more often then I finish from sex. I probably only finish from sex about 25% of the time. Most of the time I need to masturbate myself in front of the woman in order to ejaculate.

Instead of attributing my problems to PIED and utilizing "no PMO" I have attributed my problems to the fact that I have lost sensitivity due to me being circumcised. I have actually become extremely resentful at the fact that I am circumcised but have not found viable ways to overcome this problem (tugging didn't work for me).

It wasn't until recently hearing about my friend who is not-circumsized, and my same age, who is having a lot of problems with ED, as well, that I realized I may be over attributing the role of circumcision in my problems. After all, I have many circumcised friends who enjoy their sexual lives and don't have my sense of resentment regarding being circumcised.

I wanted to reach out to this community regarding the already generated wisdom regarding the role of circumcision versus remaining intact (i.e., not circumcised) in the role of ED, as it also relates to NoFAP. At this point, I am fully aware my PIED definitely plays a role, along with death grip. I believe rebooting will help and more confident than ever there is hope.

There is research out there that does suggest circumcision does lead to higher rates of ED on its own...so I'm assuming it does still play a role...but to what degree is something I really want to know.

Looking forward to the wisdom of this board! Thank you all!

Looks like you and I are in the same boat as far as being sexually satisfied goes, and I don't have a hoodless cobra to blame for that. Sure, it's possible that nature's turtle neck might have saved you from needing to torture yourself with one of these reboots. It sure didn't in my case, and now I'm giving the aardvark's nose a nice long break. I believe this challenge shows promise whether you're taking a break from riding the covered wagon or you're fighting the purple helmet warrior of love. Hang in there, fellow fapstronaut.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm learning it's much more than convertible versus hooded...I'm 7 days in no PM and sex is already much better. I'm going to keep going, hopefully for a long, long, time without PM.

    Hi,
My partner is not circumcised and he suffers from situational delayed ejaculation. He basically can only ejaculate using his hand. After going through every physical test in the book he finally came clean with me and it was discovered that he had a porn addiction and it was not physical. He would describe a feeling of numbness during sex and oral or hand jobs with me but it was actual not a physical thing. It was that he was not aroused enough due to porn usage. The only other two things I would add is that I did notice with him he got a lot of pleasure by creating friction with the skin on his penis. This can't be replicated by sex. Whereas most men that are uncircumcised can't do this. Also he's in his 40s and has suffered from this problem his entire life. It appears your problem has only come on recently. I do know that age related loss of feeling is a real thing with guys and that the refractory period is less. I think many men who had no problem masturbating and using porn in their 20s and still having a great sex life reach their 40s and just can't do that anymore due to physical changes. It's only then they realize they may have a porn problem and make attempts to change it.

Loss of sensitivity and ED are two different things.

I can understand why you are resentful about being circumcised. A natural penis is preferable, as nature/God intended. :)

Agreed when we are speaking of ED in the sense that one cannot get an erection that is totally different than loss is sensitivity. However with delayed ejaculation also a form of ED it is frequently caused by loss of sensation. Men feel nothing during sex and therefore cannot get enough stimulation to ejaculate with a partner. Sometimes this is caused by physical issues such as death grip syndrome and sometimes while the man thinks it's physical it's actually mental. Most men with DE complain of loss of sensation.

Anyway, I was not bragging. I was just sympathising with how he already feels, which he made clear in his post, that's all.

I wouldnt think being cut down there would make a differents in having ED. in sensitivity uncut would be less sensitive vs being cut.

I've too have delayed ejaculation, and spent alot of time researching the subject. In fact, I've never had ejaculation from a partner from oral/hand (despite some rather extremely patient attempts).

I went to the same research I think you did. I'm circumcised, and wondered. For a long time, I did not have any male toys for masturbation, so I do believe my style was rough. There is an initiative against circumcision. (However, I came across other data that said that same conditions occurred at similar frequency in uncircumcised). I looked at the ideas of 'foreskin restoration' though.

I've settled on the idea, that circumcision didn't break me. I think long term rough masturbation probably has reduced my sensitivity (deathgrip syndrom), as well as emotional/confidence issues not allowing me to relax properly during partner intercourse. This is why PMO works, and (why with some effort and decent amount of time, I can also achieve completion with a partner if I'm driving).

I don't think I have the actual answer, but I can offer some encouragement.

    - The ideas of foreskin restoration take along time, and require some extreme methods to accomplish. I believe they work, however..... I found one of the easiest ways to address this was simply good foreskin maintenance by using a good lotion. (I found that man1 man oil came well advised, and it seems to be working wonders for me.) However, I also like gold bonds 'healing' formula. I actually seeing the skin changing colors, texture, and becoming smother and shinny (The rim of the head is now, but the 'helmet' has some more healing to do).

    - The idea of NoFap gives you a chance to allow your sperm/semen to replenish, as well as your penile tissue a chance to heal. I've been 40+ days into a reboot, and I'm seeing new sensations I hadn't noted. It also helps with the lotion, that I'm not continuing to bruise and inflame the area through masturbation

    - Delayed ejaculation can be a quirk of our biology, and there is nothing wrong with that. (Some women have no pleasure from vaginal intercourse alone). However... I've also read about sexual therapist using 'sensate focus' techniques to retrain our minds to relax and respond to our partners. In short, it can be that we simply need to learn 'when to let go'. I'm practicing mindfulness meditation to assist in being more body aware. I'm also practicing 'being present in the moment in the bedroom'. This is where I force out all other ideas, so that I can be aware and more communicative to my partner's effort.
(In fact I found a fun practice where you can 'stay present', but internally narrating what she is doing, what I'm feeling, what I'm doing. It kind of feels like dirty talk without having to have the confidence to say it out loud, and keeps your mind engaged while still keeping your partner the center of attention.)

There are other things I've found and are trying to address delayed ejaculation. However, your question was about circumcision.

I don't know if this is any help or not. But you are not alone, and there does seem to be things we can do to help our circumstances.

I think that a natural penis (intact) would be more sensitive. The foreskin preserves the sensitivity of the glans penis (the helmet) and there are approx 20,000 nerve endings severed when the foreskin is sliced off.

Actually it is just the opposite. Uncut, the foreskin protects the head from friction with clothing and it provides lubrication that keeps it from drying out. A less sensitive, uncut, penis can be a blessing to a young man with a hair trigger, and it can be a curse to a calloused old man.
