Hey everyone. My name's is Sam and im 29 years old. Im new to nofap but not to sobreity in porn addiction. I'm about 13 months sober. I signed up because I find this website awesome and hope I can help some people out. Thank you to everyone online right now. You are helping me stay sober today. God bless Sam
Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you even more as well as learn from you. Congratulations on your 13 months. I am on, I believe, Day 407 of MO sobriety. I am here to encourage others more than to receive it for myself. Me and a few others welcome the new guys and I typically will encourage those in the Lonliness forum, Relapse and Reset forum and Reboot forum. All of them could use someone to encourage and give guidance.
Wow! What a fantastic attitude, so positive. Congratulations on your sobriety, that's really inspiring. Welcome!
Sam_Tri! Great to have you on board!!! Welcome to the family, brother. Stay brave, and be happy ok! Cheers.
1st of all congrats on you 13 months NoFap journey, me just asking what are the benefits that you are noticing? If you want to know me you can check my postings here (https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/stucked-and-confused-help-needed.85109/) (https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/knock-knock-anyone-there.85775/)
Hey Covert, thanx for reaching out. I read some of your story and noticed immediately we are very alike. The main benefit is being able to finally face and overcome my fears and insecurities. I also have a high level of anxiety but I was taught overtime how to face it/ let go of it. It's constant daily work but it's definitely worth it. Today I can look myself in the mirror. I still have struggles, also in the lust area, but that's life. There will always be difficulties. I guess the biggest benefit from quitting pmo is learning how to live. Actually living.
Thanks mate for reading, Yes me also working on anxiety and other aspects, lets see what happens, keeping finger crossed and after reading if you have anysuggestion please inform me as that would be of great help. Hope that the destruction that was bought upon me by me can be repaired to a extent.
A psychologist once told me that a sex addicts brain can heal completely, but that it takes from 3 to 5 years of healthy living for that to happen
Whether I am a addict or not that I don't know but I want to get out of this situation then I have issues with my career if you have read my post then you will know that also need to be repaired. In trying facing many difficulties sometimes it feels like banged on a floor hard, but still want to give a try and in this process post and replies from people like you helps a lot. Lets see if we can get past these hurdles together. As someday I read on internet this quote "If You Want To Go Fast, Go Alone. If You Want To Go Far, Go Together"
