https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9vATSM3elQZTHN2eldRRWN3eDA/edit?usp=sharing This video made me find porn disgusting and I wish that I left porn several years ago. It really disgusts me! Great educational and instructional. Caution! This documentary contains some nudity but its all for educational purposes!
Thanks for posting the link. It's a good documentary. It's important to note this documentary has some nudity/sex scenes which some members here might find cause relapse. Please beware if watching, if you're on edge of relapse.
I had to look away or cover my eyes A LOT because for an anti-porn film there is strangely a lot of porn. However the science part of it is worth it and when you see the scene of the young man hitting bottom and describing his post fap low you really see yourself on the screen. At least I did. Yuck, what am I going to tell my 5 year old boy? How will I protect him? How will I protect my 3 year old daughter?!? What will teenage boys be like by the time she starts dating?!?! Time to start building the bomb shelter... and maybe take a shower.
While I "get" where they are going with the program and am interested to hear what the researchers have to say I also think they went after the worse case scenario's. You don't just "come across" the kinds of things he was describing, somehow he entered search terms that brought them up.
Agreed, you don't simply type in the word "Porn" and automatically get Granny or Bestiality videos, you do still have to dig a bit for that stuff. Now before you raise your eyebrows at me, that shit was NEVER what I was into. The humiliation, bondage, incest, etc stuff would be a sure boner killer for me actually. But as porn surfers yourselves, you know damn well what you come across while surfing for even the most "normal" porn. I've stumbled upon some seriously depraved and sick crap and it made me worry if my IP address would get flagged since my computer "touched" that stuff. Still though, this video IS extremely intriguing, I'm only about 1/2 through as of this post but I intend to finish it. Just as mountains of porn conditioned me to crave more of it, I think I need to watch mountains of this kind of thing to condition me against it, Clockwork Orange style.
That's a great insight Scott. I think you're onto something there... the more I read about the negative consequences of porn, and watch documentaries like this one, I think it is changing my old porn-addicted wiring. That's why forums like this, and sites like YBOP are so awesome.
Very good video! It didn't bother me much but I could see how some of the nudity and porn on this video could impact some people here. This concerns me a lot though! I have children. What's going to come about with this problem? I think this message needs to reach each and every parent out there and the education needs to start now before the brain of each child develops the wrong way so to speak.
