Hey @Kindi ! Welcome to the community. You are definitely in the right place...many of us have the same, or similar, struggles. Despite any differences in our stories, most of us would agree that we are sick and tired of being sick and tired. We want a way up and out of this awful addiction. I highly recommend getting yourself familiar with the community by poking around and reading threads. Another good way to start the process is by heading over to the 'Reboot Log' section and starting a journal under your appropriate age. I personally journal two times a day minimum (morning and night). Journaling is a great way to hold yourself accountable while also updating the community on your struggles and successes. At some point, you will likely find some people that are relatable...so utilize the direct message feature and get yourself some accountability partners to chat with everyday. This is also a great way to discuss stuff you may not want to write about in the public forum. Lastly, maintaining a healthy diet, adequate exercise, prayer/meditation, and reading recovery literature are a few other areas I personally focus on. When I have a healthy balance across the board, I tend to have less stress and more motivation to be sober and stay stopped. Again, welcome to the community! We are all different in how we cope with urges. For me, I make sure I'm staying consistent with my journaling in the 'Reboot Logs' section of this site. I journal two times a day minimum. Something else that helps me is reading the posts of other members and replying where I feel I can add value. In addition, I spend a lot of time welcoming new comers in this 'New To NoFap' section as well as chatting with my accountability partners through direct message. A few other recovery tools that I use are prayer/meditation, reading other recovery literature, exercising, talking to friends and family on the phone, eating healthy, and keeping a proper sleep schedule. In my experience, there has never been a cure for my addiction. I will always have urges, however, if I do these few simple things each and every day, I stand a chance at staying sober.
