When is the proper time to start working out ? For a long term user +10 years PMO, When should we start working out while doing NoFap ? 1st Week ? 2nd Week ? 3rd Week ? A Month Later ???
Bro, to be honest. I started working out when i was 16. i was a member since i was 14 but i never worked out until my 16’s. Just go everyday, 7 days a week. Dont listen to the people saying you need to rest 3-4 days. To be honest, working out is an activity that isnt energy and time consuming. I think a human can work out 7 days a week, because the body is actually pretty strong. I train maybe 5-6 days a week, or atleast i try to do it. The reason is because i have trained for soon 4 years, and if i stop i might kill myself.
I see no reason not to start right away. Of course as noted with any workout program, talk to your doctor first. Replace the time you were watching porn by working out.
In the early days of recovery I did pushups or plank as soon as I felt the urge to look porn up on my laptop or phone. This helped me to say "no" much easier, as I had already learned to do something hard when the urge came; and saying "no" can be hard! You sound really young! I'm mid 30's, and trust me when I say this - as we age we need time our recovery time gets longer. It may be healthy at your age to train that much. And for your particular body, yours may be able to cope. Some of us aren't so blessed. One of the best things I ever learnt when running is to listen to my body. I now do all my runs on effort rather than pace. There's lots of evidence to show that even younger guys need to rest - it's basic physiology of how muscles grow. Something to think about.
The risk is the increased libido and the reduced willpower to tiredness. You have to be very aware of that. I would decouple workouts from PMO completely and have it always as a routine. Every high performing person in any field needs to do workouts, stretching muscles, getting endurance, etc.
I don't see a reason why would you wait at all. Do it starting day one! In fact, do it before the day one; if you are currently in the midst of PMO relapse, start exercising while PMOing! It's good for you!
...and maybe distracting ladies at the gym? What is your fitness level at the moment? Maybe you can start with some bodyweight exercises at home, find some youtube videos or follow one of the workouts at https://darebee.com. If you live somewhere nice, and it doesn't turn dark at 4pm like it does here, get your running shoes on. If you are a beginner, it doesn't matter too much what you do, just get moving and do something.
I'm no expert but I am reminded of this proverb … The best time to plant a tree was thirty years ago. The second best time to plant a tree is today.
If you're in a flatline and struggling with withdrawals then you need to be careful and listen to your body. I started working out again after day 120 or something. Before then I was way too exhausted to even think about doing any strenuous exercise, nor did I have any drive to actually begin. Even when I did start again I actually felt worse initially, negative symptoms grew stronger but it seems to be ok now. I was doing almost daily long walks throughout the entire time but I don't really consider that to be exercise, even those would often leave me feeling depleted.
NOW!! EVERYTIME!! If you want to workout, then do! 20-30 minutes a day is fine! Don't push it to a later time, I've seen that to other people and they don't even start today with that. And PMO doesn't play a role speak, you don't need to wait e.g. 5-10 days to start working out.
I would wait 2 weeks... For me, two weeks is a crucial milestone. After the two-week-mark i have more energy and less urges to fap. I feel better and more willing to excercise But don't make the mistake of starting when every condition is perfect for you. Sometimes, you just have to take courage and take action NOW. And this doesn't apply to workout only
I kind of see being fit and healthy as a Man is definitely a double edged sword. I’m not a spring chicken anymore, but my libido is still as robust as ever due to living a healthy lifestyle that involves regular intensive exercise.
