what all social medias should i block or delete..i’ve rays delete tik tok and instagram and even blocked their website with a blocker app, but i love youtube bc it can keep me occupied at times and i get interested in the videos. But if i did uninstall youtube wouldn’t that make my mind start to wander when i’m bored or would it help with being more productive.
I keep everything but Facebook and YT blocked. I use Fb as my guilty pleasure since I can interact with a lot of different ideas without actually having to talk to actual people, which just takes the life out of me. Youtube is a double-edged sword, I didn't have any discipline problems involving it since I started filing my watch history with my AP and eliminated my browser's incognito options.
This is not something someone can decide for you... I've blocked all social media but youtube and I use it only through my PC(blocked yt on phone). Social media I used to have: facebook, youtube, twitch. It's a wonderful feeling when you wake up and you don't feel that you HAVE TO check something just after you wake up.
You can leave Messenger or WhatsApp if you have someone to talk with. YT is kinda uncertain... On the one side, there is a world full of guides and useful skills. On the other hand we have a lot of videos, those do not give any useful things to us and just suck the energy out of us, leave us tired and empty. Block the YT or not is your call. IG, FB - totally block. There're actually books that I can recommend about social media and how to minimize the consequences of it: "Digital Minimalism" and " 10 Reasons to Stop Using Social Media"
I still have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube and hardly ever check them first thing in the morning. I think it's fair to say you're setting yourself up to have an unproductive day if you do that.
It's also wonderful when you walk around and you can actually think about things and contemplate what's around you because you have no notifications or bullshit content to check.
Delete all social media apps right disable YouTube only watch YouTube for videos lectures that's it fuck social media
What even counts as social media? Is YouTube really social media? I'd say ask yourself what purpose any specific some serves in your life and delete the ones that sound trivial. I'll show you an example from my life: -I like to watch YouTube for entertainment and occasionally even for information. I have a purpose for it, so I'll keep it. -I use WhatsApp and Snapchat to keep in touch with friends and family. They serve a clear social purpose in my life, thus I keep them. -I used to have Facebook. I only occasionally browsed it and even then kinda didn't see the point. I used to play Facebook games, but after getting bored of them I saw no purpose for Facebook in my life, so I deleted it. -I used to consider making an Instagram account. I never got around to doing it and eventually realized I'd just mostly use it to jerk off to pictures of my friends while feeling shitty about myself for not getting many likes and followers. Thus I chose not to make it. It's really simple at the end of the day. Just remove the modern idea of having to have every popular social media from the equation and really take a look at the pros and cons and what you'd actually do with the social media. If there's no reason for you to have a certain social media in your life, it'll probably just end up wasting your time.
I use youtube to watch some videos of my interest, however is important too keep yourself self-warned that if you scroll through it randomly, that would be a problem and maybe you can relapse (there are too much soft porn there). I have also Whatsapp, Telegram and Discord for communication, wanting to delete whatsapp because Telegram is better imho. Btw, only keep the few ones that are important for you to talk with family and friends
I recently deleted TikTok myself, and I have to say, I don't regret it. It's important to prioritize our mental health and focus on activities that truly bring us joy and fulfillment.
I think YouTube is alright. It can definitely be used for time waisting, but I look for educational stuff like enginearing and science stuff or any tutorials on fixing things etc.
You've made some bold moves already – waving goodbye to TikTok and Instagram takes some serious willpower. And blocking their websites? That's next-level commitment! It's fascinating how YouTube's managed to stay in your good books. The diverse range of videos can really hook you in, right? It's not easy to bid adieu to something that keeps you engaged.Uninstalling YouTube might open up more time, but there's also that risk of wandering thoughts during downtime. On the flip side, you might find yourself diving into more productive activities. It's a personal journey; you'll figure out what works best for you.Oh, and ever heard of SMM panels? They're like behind-the-scenes magic for boosting social presence. Just came across nlosmm.com – it's a cool resource if you're curious.
ONLY use YouTube and just download educational etc. videos from YouTube (so you also should ban YouTube just use downloader sites to download videos).
