Has anyone ever tried tyrosine a dopamine supplement? I've just bought some. I wonder if it's helped anyone. I seem to have the symptoms of low dopamine particularly the doing impulsive things and to hell with the consequences.
Try taking a one or two full spoon of organic coconut oil everyday. Trust me much better than any supplement when it comes to increasing dopamine levels. And it's also speed up your metabolism and its all natural.
it's never a "one size fits all" solution. Some people will tell you this or that works for them but you can never be sure until you try it yourself. I've taken HT-5 or HTP5 whatever it's called , which is supposed to balance out your seratonin levels but I don't think it directly helped me that much with my addiction.
PMO isn't going to cause low dopamine. There is this process in the brain called reuptake where it essentially "reups" the very neurotransmitter it just used to be used at a future time. It is a very efficient process. PMO actually strengthens the dopamine system and pathways in the brain while shrinking other components of the brain. Obviously if you have some problems that you think are serious go see a doctor to get assessed. Otherwise eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly and you should be fine.
Thank you for the advice. I mean I'm pretty active and eat a fairly balanced diet but I still seem to need this dopamine rush every so often. That's why I'm looking for ways to increase it without having to resort to PMO. I bought the tyrosine but I'm scared to use it so will give the coconut oil a go.
If you want dopamine play freemium games, World of Warcraft, eat sugar, kiss a girl etc. Dopamine is activated by reward.
This weekend bought some GNC L-Tyrosine 500mg. Been taking it with L-Glutamine and L-Arginine for some ligaments problem in the mornings with an empty stomach. I'm one month deep into a 90-day HARD Mode Reboot. Today I'm feeling more calm, not so depressive thoughts, I'm starting to have maybe some libido induced things such as wanting to touch a woman, or form a connection. Not necessarily a sexual thing but like bonding to a female. I truly believe Tyrosine is helpful in restoring those dopamine receptors and just for feeding your brain the right stuff.
I am taking l Tyrosine and i guess it seems to be helping. I just wanted to make sure i am producing enough dopamine to enjoy the good things in life. I don't think it is harmful or dodging a true recovery. I had asked my therapist about an antidepressant and he didn't recommend, because it can mask the various feelings we are trying to confront.
I take L-tyrosine too. I also notice that my sex drive is way higher. I finally started taking it after a month on hardmode. After a few days I was very horny and then I fapped. I read up online and some people reported a higher sex drive with this supplement. So I advise caution.
Phenylalanine will also help. But listen I've done several brain supps to increase actyelcholine, nor epinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin, dopamine, and it's given some benefit, but after orgasming way too much on them I fell into a deep dark flatline So even though you might be low it's not the end all be all, cureall. In fact, you just might regret it. If u take them, just use it to have sex
Of course. When I relapse I still have withdrawls. It takes a few days for me to recover instead of a few weeks.
Is there any science behind this claim? I can't see 2 tablespoons of practically pure saturated fat being good for anything let alone dopamine levels.
I think he's basing this science off the bulletproof diet. Mct oil (coconut oil) is supposed to be brain fuel and promote a ketogenic response if ur fasting. Just guessing
Yes! I take 5 htp for seratonin and l tyrosine for dopamine. They help they provide you with is amazing. Before I started taking them I was an emotionless zombie, couldn't even stand to be around other people. Afterwards they helped me to be more social and open with others
I'd still like to see some science if he has it; diet related neurological adaptations are super fascinating to me.
Then Google it man. You have the world at your fingertips, why must it be handed to you? Draw your own conclusions based on your own research Diet and brain function Ketones and brain Bulletproof mct and brain Coconut oil and dopamine There's a headstart
Came up with shit all. I did some googling beforehand and came up with nothing as well which is why I asked. I'm not attacking anyone I just think that if you're going to claim something as unhealthy as coconut oil is good for dopamine production then you should have some actual science backing it up. All I see googling any of this are random blogs and journals. No studies and the few that I found have very little weight to them...
