Sorry about your work situation. Restaurants in my city are not allowed to have dine-in customers for the next two weeks. That's going to be tough on that industry too. I think all sectors of the economy are getting hit hard because of the virus situation (except grocery stores), I hope we can all ride it out and return to a semblance of sanity.
@thespo and @Sargiel - We have openings in the group for both of you. Please reply to this comment if you are still interested in joining.
Reset. Lost all of my upcoming work, 100% of my income, am quarantined (though thankfully, not sick), and yes, I reset, verging on the relapse. Soon we won't be able to go out for walks (which is one of my safety behaviors), but I have a plan for the next couple of days and hope to stick to it.
Yes definitely. I was hoping to go to Starbucks or the library to get some work done, but those are both out. There's nowhere to go out in public where you can just sit down for a while. As for silver linings, I saw something in the news the other day where Amazon is looking to hire something like 100,000 more workers since everyone wants to order things online now. Plus I'd imagine that toilet paper factory workers are getting killer overtime these days. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/16/tech...XxhiiBhVHSjT1bku68RkG1AbY42JkEdzj-3PQTcWqvPis
I'm having some trouble getting my feet under me to start a new streak. So at the risk of annoying everyone, I'm going to provide more accountability for myself by posting a brief line every morning announcing whether I had a reset or not. I'm not going to allow myself the luxury of flying under the radar and hoping no one notices I am sitting at 0 days for like a week. My new streak starts today and it is going to be a good one.
@discovery... Mexican beer? Dos Equis passes you by! @Wolf2019 that’s the way to do it! It’s embarrassing to admit a reset but that’s the way to do it!
I'd say Negra Modelo is my favorite. Good thing there's no virus named after it. But Tres Equis is the one we all really need to avoid! Speaking of Tres Equis, feeling somewhat triggered right now. Just watched a movie with some triggering scenes, and not only am I feeling triggered in the usual way, but also feeling far more acutely aware of being stuck with nothing to do but hike the beach really for the unforeseeable future. Makes me want to escape into the fantasy world of Tres Equis and find some excitement. Thank God for that beach. I'd probably just walk around the block thousands of times to keep from going crazy if it weren't an option.
Have you ever thought about posting in the daily challenges? I do that religiously every day. It helps. Gives you a sense of accomplishment on a daily basis. There is a one day challenge thread to start with. Once you reach a day, you win the challenge and move on. I like to 'cash my chips' and invest the winnings into the next challenge. So the next is the 3 day challenge, and then i'm automatically starting with 1 day under my belt, and so on. I just completed the 120 day challenge a few days ago, and am now on day 124/150 on the 150 day challenge. You get the idea. At any rate, if its something that could help that you haven't tried yet, it's worth a go.
@JJ_Kino and @EcoMunchies - we have not heard from you for a month. Do you still want to be a member of the group. It is required that you check in at least once a month in order to remain in the group.
I didn't know about that, thanks for the tip! I'll give it a try. Can you send me a link to one of those? So hey, no reset today! This was totally from thinking about you guys and not wanting to have another failure-post. LOL!
1 Day Challenge- https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/1-day-challenge-the-one-day-challenge.236289/ 3 Day Challenge- https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/3-challenge-the-three-days-challenge.173158/ After these, just go to the main forums page. At the top you'll find the section 'Rebooting- Porn Addiction Recovery'. And there, there is a link to the subgroup 'Events and Challenges'. Most of them are on the first page. After the 3 comes the 7, 14, 21, 30, 60, etc. Adds a whole other dimension to this website. Hope it helps!
Well, if a reset is like going on the ice and falling on your ass, hitting the back of your head on the ground, and seeing the contents of your bag spilled all over, what I had yesterday was like flapping your arms in the air for a bit and finding balance again. phew! the big challenge now is that the pleasure factor is 10 out of 10 for M since I haven’t done it in forever and everything feels new. Resisting now is brutal. I’m soldering on.
