Does anyone know if there is any relationship between PMO and excessive daydreaming? lately I've been wasting a lot of time daydreaming and I know this has been hurting me but it's hard to stop just like PMO, and I believe you both should have something in common but I'm not sure so I wonder if anyone else has excessive daydreaming too
It's not a problem until it interferes with what you have to do during your day. Maybe it's actually not excessive, but a normal amount of daydreaming? My theory is that you're abstaining from an extreme stimulant (porn?) that you may have been addicted to so your mind could be filling the void. When you say you're wasting time, what exactly does that entail? Are you sitting around literally doing nothing? Just curious how this manifests because I enjoy daydreaming when I'm at a boring post for work.
I'm really abstaining from pornography but even before trying to P I already noticed the presence of many daydreams, and I believe they hurt me because I can't stop them, and often end up having sex daydreams too
Try meditation, some mindfulness exercises and make it your daily routine. Try to really feel, hear, see at the exact moment (man can do 3 things at the same time only, so if you are concentrated your mind won’t do daydreaming). Also some activities that you like (sports, drawing, etc.) when you are in so much that ‘forget’ the time and won’t daydream. Hope it helps.
i also have severe day dreaming and fantasies nowadays..our addicted brain will play tricks and try to develop urges..the only effective way we can handle this is "make ourselves busy and engaged everytime..make a reason to become busy and getout of our room and socialize"
Fantasies only make nofap more difficult, in my opinion, well more of a fact, for me. Arousal from fantasies then requires will power to not pmo. Will power is finite, requires energy and is at some point going to fail, meaning a relapse.
that's exactly what I think, so I'm trying to stop these daydreams, most of my relapses were because of that
