Hey there, I've been on my journey away from porn since October 2016. I had some good streaks (9+ months) and then some relapses here and there. Since December 23rd, 2018 I am FULLY committed to never watching porn again and I haven't watched any porn since. I've masturbated about 6-7 times this year. I had two streaks of 3 months without fapping, while having a girlfriend (and having sex). Now I'm single and I don't masturbate, don't have sex and don't ejaculate. By choice. And it's an amazing feeling. (...and sometimes I feel strong urges, wanting to have sex, too) It's been 71 days since I last masturbated. I started implementing a bunch of daily routines that really help me stay focused and I put a lot of emphasis in getting enough, quality sleep. In addition to that I worked on my vision for the future and goals that I want to achieve. Will all that in place, I feel like I can direct my (sexual) energy towards the things I really want to do. I never thought I could focus for multiple hours and have so much energy ... At the end of last year, I announced on my FB profile that I would go porn-free for the whole year of 2019 and asked if someone wants to join in. Five other guys joined and we've been writing "check-ins" every monday and holding each other accountable. Between all of us together we've watched porn about 5 times total in over 9 months compared to hundreds of times... Sincerely, Jakob
That's fantastic! Can you elaborate on the daily routines you mentioned? I feel like that's the key to success (at least for me). Thanks in advance.
Sure thing. Take a look: Time table for full work + learn days: 07:00 - 09:00: Morning Routine + Breakfast 09:00 - 12:00: Work + Learn 12:00 - 12:15: Body Work 12:15 - 13:00: Making + Eating Lunch 13:00 - 13:45: Napping 13:45 - 14:00: Quick Walk or Run 14:00 - 17:00: Work + Learn 17:00 - 18:00: Finish the tasks, nice little walk outside and maybe some reading 18:00 - 19:30: Dinner + Sweets while watching one episode of my favourite show. 19:30 - 21:30: Lighter taks, research, listening to talks, etc. 21:30 - 22:45: Evening Routine 22:45 - 07:00: Night night, sweet little prince. Basic principles: Nothing is more important than sleep. It's absolutely essential. Everything else can fuck off in comparison. I turn the lights off at 22:45 latest and get at least 8 hours of quality sleep. This is priority number one! I eat within certain hours (08:00 to 20:00) so my digestive system gets time to do it's work and I'm not constantly busy processing food (and feeling heavy/tired in the process). I don't eat/snack anything inbetween meals. I only drink water or tee (without sugar, honey, etc.). I eat good food. I only eat sweets/sugar within a 30 minute range every day and only after dinner. I try do to one thing at a time: When I eat, I eat. When I work on a task, I work on that one task. When I walk, I walk. When I read, I read... I have an old Nokia phone that I turn on earliest in my lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00. I read and answer my emails once a day. I stick to these routines and I'm open and ready for inspiration to hit me and to take immediate action. Morning and Evening Routine (aka I do this twice a day): I reflect my day and plan the next day. Movement, Stretching, Twisting, Exercise for 10 minutes. I speak my vision, my affirmations and my goals out loud. I visualize my desired future and explore it in detail. A brisk 10-15 minute walk. Cold shower. Meditation without a timer.
Well done! It's much better to be single and not masturbate than to get involved in the wrong couple.
When I don't masturbate for 2/3 weeks (which has only happened very few times in past years), some drops of semen comes out during night (should I call it night fall ?) .. do you also experience this.. ?
I only had one wet dream in my life, actually. But that doesn't mean much. From what I heard of other men: It's normal to have some wet dreams, especially in the beginning. Your system/body is simply re-adjusting how to "handle" sexual energy/arousal. The amount of time this takes varies from person to person. Don't worry and explore what happens after that 2/3 week time frame.
I really like your daily routines. Thank you for sharing. I developed similar routines, but now I can improve them with your tipps.
That’s awesome man! Congrats. I went 91 days, had a relapse, am now back at 14 days nofap. Haven’t watched porn since June 2018, really made a huge difference. Stay strong brother!!
Love your routines. Congratulations on such a long streak! Also agree with the sleep, it's the most important thing. I fall asleep at around 10 PM and wake up at 5:30 AM. When I wake up before 6 I feel much more energy during the day.
