You could have a fetish without porn. But porn definitely can create fetishes. Porn can actually make you turned on by something you previously thought was weird or disgusting, and you can actually develop a fetish for it through porn. For instance I didn't properly start watching porn until I was 18, I am now 28. But I had a fetish for anal basically since I first began masturbating. But when I was around the age of 25,26 I seen femdom porn and at first thought it was weird and didn't understand why anyone would want or like that. But then I seen these porn stars I liked doing the femdom stuff and I did get kind of turned on by it. Eventually what happened is the femdom porn started turning me on more than anything else. Thankfully the longer I have been away from porn and artificial sexual stimulation the more that femdom fetish is weakening. Weakening to the point I don't even feel turned on by it anymore.
Weird and strange people are more interesting. Look at artists and musicians, all the really good ones are weird and strange.
When people get aroused, brains do not work the way they normally do, you end up in state of trance and are highly suggestible. You accept what is taking place and it does not seem add or strange to you. So you do not really have significant rational thought and your only guide becomes what feels good. If something makes you feel good, its good and you will accept it without giving much thought. Some people find that pain actually feels good when person is aroused, so they begin down the path of hurting themselves to get more pleasure. The problem is ongoing prolonged exposure, hours on end, that is what really causes damage.

that makes sense to my sexual orientation. I had little to know sexual experiences at all in my life and i relied on porn and i escalated to crossdresser porn and guys that have a girls ass and stuff but i dont like that stuff in real life.
You are confusing your sexuality with something you use to get high. Think of porn abuse as method for getting a high, similar to any other drug. Cocaine addicts do not snort cocaine because they like process of snorting it and alcoholics do not drink alcohol to satisfy thirst - they do it for the high this activity brings Similarly porn abuse is using porn to get a high, it becomes a tool that exploits your brain and sexuality for the purpose of a high and has little to do with sexuality itself. Porn is a method that can be exploited to feel a high, during prolonged exposure humans get addicted to the high and since they learned the behavior that brings it(abuse of pornography) - they do it. As response gets weaker, this activity changes to include content that would continue to give the high. So even though drinking alcohol happens using same organs as eating food, we do not link our food preferences with alcohol abuse. Same way abusing human sexuality for a high has nothing to do with sex or sexuality for that matter. This is critical component that most do not understand - there is nothing wrong with porn itself, the issue is that people use porn to get a high, and its the high they crave not porn.
