Hello my fellow nofappers This is my seventh day without masturbating but I have a problem that I still look at porn and nudes without masturbating. How would that affect me?
Overall @mooz21, my experience suggests the will keep the addiction alive in you. Poke around the 'Your Brain on Porn' website for a way more detailed explication of this. But basically, what you are doing here is feeding the beast, keeping it alive. This said, not masturbating to porn is a big step - and it may be that this is the appropriate big step for you right now. We are all different. We all, as a result, have different paths to tread in coming to terms with this addiction. So maybe you remove masturbation to porn this month, then porn and masturbation next month, then... It's up to you. But I do want to reiterate what is implicit above. In my experience, at some point your porn viewing habit will either need to be addressed or relapse will occur. All the best...
Welcome to the community. Stopping masturbating is a good thing but still watching porn is still harming you and will surely lead to relapse.
Dude dont suppress beast. That beast is your male energy. That beast is what makes you attractive to girls. Just use that beast energy on talking to girls and flirting. Dont use that energy for porn. And you will be sex bomb if you use it on girls.
Its like visiting a bar with offer of pay for 1 drink and get 2 free, and not drinking. If you keep visiting that bar eventually you'll drink one fine day. Stay away from porn. If you watch porn brother thats actually a lapse. Before masturbation quit porn. Thats the fucking root cause.
You've got to fill your schedule up totally. Don't leave an inch unfilled with any positive activities that would keep you distracted, seriously the first few days are so hard and then things ease up. but again the key is through these activities some of them must turn into habits. So that later every time you're tempted to watch and masturbate you instead go and practice this/those activities/s. They could be as simple as drawing, walking, going out with friends/family/siblings or even along, sports, grading, cooking, reading, attending events, or even your job. Just make what you do as engaging and interesting as possible. I would highly suggest downloading and following up with this app Reborn in Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=reborn.ma.com Because it will keep you alert and aware of your problem. Hence, avoiding it. Nevertheless, if you relapse, it's not the end of the world just get back to the right path as quick as possible. Your brain is still aware of your new path!
What kind of question is this? You are flooding your visual senses with incredible stimulation. More than homo sapien from the peleo era would get in a lifetime and you want to know if that’s bad?
I've looked at porn many times during my streak. And here I am 106 days in and I've NEVER jerked off to it, nor came I even close. Relapse was never even an option. The times I wanted to look became fewer and fewer. Also 19/20 times I didn't even get aroused. However I started this streak after two years of trying to quit. I've made many experiences with relapses, etc. and changed my beliefs about porn before I started this streak. I gave myself fixed rules, allowing myself the impulse to look, but promised to never PMO again. And it worked. Porn isn't completely out of my life but I'm further away from it than I ever was. All thanks to taking small steps instead of biting off more than I can chew. Most people here don't understand that, because they can't look at porn without relapsing very soon. They try the hard approach and fail over and over again. Not realizing how damaging it is to relapse many times in a row. It's much more damaging than that little bit of dopamine you get when you look at porn. By the way this: Is very much exaggerated. You get a dopamine release sure. You also get one when you see a hot chick on the street or when you watch GoT.. There's no comparison to what happens when you actually touch yourself and orgasm. The drawback for this method is that it does take longer for your neurobiology to recover. But your chances to relapse become non-existent IF you've done the right preparation! Here are some pointers to know whether this is right for you or not: If you look at the porn for longer than 2-3 min you are looking to become aroused. > that's bad. If you become nervous, excited and noticeably aroused when you're looking > you still want it. you haven't sufficiently changed your beliefs and you should stop looking at it until you have understood them. People here are going to argue that it isn't safe, that you're fooling yourself and that sort of stuff. But if you're serious about never PMO'ing again it's the biggest step you can take to stop jerking off to it. It takes a long time to quit. People who do monk-mode and that sort of thing actually want the quick way out - and fail much more often because of it. Remember every time you relapse you're training your brain that you're not serious about quitting. That it's just a game. That's really bad news for you in the long run. The best thing you can do is to give yourself a clear goal and never fuck with it! Stay true to what you tell yourself. That will give you the momentum you need to get rid of this.
very bad, the enemy is porn not fapping. masturbating without porn is better than looking at porn without fapping. just say no
Op I know how it goes. You will have a search term like “naughty nurse “ and then there’s an icon for a Russian beauty. Then you click that and then there’s an icon for a Chinese beauty and there’s a gang bang and so on and so forth. Before you know it you are down the rabbit hole. And you expect to watch all of this and still get excited for a plane Jane? Don’t think so some how.
