Hey guys. How can I control myself of strong urges with depression to pmo more after a relapse. Why is that happening after we relapse???
Doing pmo is not a solution of nything.U just need to change this bad habit with some new good habit.Thts all.Start reading some good books,do walking. And avoid porn completly..Gud luck
It is called chaser effect. Remember, every relapse mean struggling with hard urges and sadness for a few days after.
The more you relapse, the stronger the urges will be. Remember, the urge to PMO IS NOT a sexual urge, its a compulsion, you arent truly aroused, your brain is just trying to trick you, dont let it!
Is hard yes you cant stop thinking about PMO ALL DAY WHEN YOURE ALONE when youre at the bathroom it chases you werever you go and is with you at the hardest time youre mind doesnt has time to think about anything else is all fuckd up and siicouragent my advice have a purpose anything simple and easy like a journal or a calebdar but traking youre days is really great and if you want more track youre self every 12 hours and is all consistency work smart andwith determined you have yto know what you want im writing tobyou guys and giving you advice because now im feelimg urges to at this precise moment and im giving my mind a purpose to help or do somthing is like trying to keep busy a kid so exahusting x x good luck im on my 8th trust me my hardest days has been 125678 xD 3 and four where really great hahahahah luck bro
its like returning to heroin im guessing same reward system, there are allot of thing in life that are similar, smoking also, junk food, eating bread (i don't eat bread im on a rice diet), sugary foods, energy drinks in terms of urges after relapse, all you can do it use your will power, i binged once and that binging made me feel like crap and i told myself i didnt want to do this again; the feeling of emptiness and lack of motivation, i started again and 7 days in I feel great and aim to go far, you get stronger the more nofap you think about, im glad its a movement and im proud of what ive done watch motivational videos they can help, but willpower and learning the power of nofap and even the power of learning from your failures help allot, they have helped me
Check your food habits. Eat light. Sometime it's the food that makes you do it. Take up some fasting, once a week or so. Divert your mind. Read success stories section. Relate to the benefits of the members who have gone without PMO and the immense gains they've derived. I am on day 12 and trust me it's amazing All the best!
I could go 6 days no pmo then fapped again 4 days no pmo but this time after relapse the chaser effects were very much strong that I pmo 4 times after 4 days of no pmo
That's good going for the starters. Well done! Be proud of your accomplishment! I don't know how to put this but next time when you feel the urge, just pause, close your eyes and breathe into the urge, focus on your breath - 5 breaths in and 5 breaths out. Follow your breathing. See if that helps! You're a warrior. Be strong!
Just relapsed, too. Feel like a weak pathetic wreck. I don't see how I could go through a long reboot phase without any PMO. The worst is that I'm dating a nice girl and I want this to turn into something serious. Relapsing is totally counter-productive here. Why the hell is my brain addicted to nudity and sex? I'm not weak for anything else like alcohol, drugs etc. Why this? Stupid question, I guess..
Hi guys, its good to talk about our problems here. I relapsed in the beginning of this week. Dude, i know that we feel sad because we are trying to break away, not give in to the PMO urges. After i have relapsed, i realized that i could have resisted the urges if i had not watched triggering contents, mainly in instagram. So i installed a porn blocker, suspended social midia and this have been very helpful, because i can't acess P anymore, and my internet is blocked when its late night. When you don't have the force to resist, you should avoid seeing things that trigger them as much as possible.
Whatever happens DO NOT WATCH any instigating pics. Videos is out of question. Look at your thoughts and see how those thoughts lead you to watching porn. STOP then and there. Read an article or listen to a song that soothes your mind. Be aware of your thoughts. Count a few breaths. Do a reverse counting of numbers from 100 to 0. Trick your mind every time it tries to trick you!
@crazybutconscious Thanks, I've tried a porn blocker before but it didn't work because I always found a workaround when the urge got too strong and I got to weak. "Weak" is the word that matters, so I have to work on that. @Fighting inner war It's impossible to avoid instigating pics. Images of sexy women are being used everywhere, like in advertising for just about everything. And to me this can be enough. But I guess I'll just have to learn to look away quickly and think of something else.
