A lot of people report better, glowing skin and less breakouts. People say this has to do with the minerals being wasted on sperm, but I don't think thats correct. Instead, I think it has to do with the stress hormones released when the brain is rewiring. According to YBOP, a "rise in brain stress hormones CRF and norepinephrine" are present when the brain is rewiring itself (which I'm sure it is constantly doing in between fap sessions). I think these hormones take a toll on skin (and hair as well), and when the brain is rebalanced, the absence of these hormones make skin glow. In addition, I think people just live generally healthier lifestyles, and this helps too. Thoughts?
Well, I've had a little more acne issues since trying to reboot, and I'm 30! It's probably due to testosterone levels and sensitivity changes. Orgasm supposedly reduces number and sensitivity of androgen receptors temporarily.
I think it totally is about the semen retention. When you're not shooting your spunk out 2, 3 or more times per day that life force of energy goes into your cells for growth and repair. My hair is getting thicker and more luxurious ie. similar to a younger Justin Bieber.
If its about the semen retention, then why do so many guys who have lots of sex still have great skin?
Well if your tracker is accurate, you're only 8 days in. You're brain is still rewiring and healing, and this involves the release of stress hormones which, if I understand correctly, are involved in helping erase memories (possibly among other things). I believe this is the cause of all the anxiety felt when recovering from fapping, and is also effecting your skin. Hang in there and im confident it'll get better. I notice when I get on streaks my skin significantly improves as well. But when I PMO hard core, even if I O just once, my hair and skin get significantly worse almost instantly. Even when I just edge and don't O. This is why I'm confident its the stress and rewiring more so than the semen retention.
